This role leads a group of skilled Account Supervisors who support the marketing priorities of our Core Segment Marketing team and key Fidelity product lines, including Managed Accounts and 529. As Director, you will take on strategic, client facing projects with longer term impact while managing your team and mentoring them towards delivering on customer communications and campaigns. Your team functions as the business’ entry point into Fidelity Communications and Advertising (FCA), Fidelity’s in-house agency network. It is your team’s mission to seamlessly interface with your business partners and creative teams to translate business strategy into creative and communications programs that inspire our consumers and drive real business benefit.

The Value You Deliver
As Account Director, you will partner with Segment and product marketing as their key point of contact to deliver on and grow the sophistication of our consumer marketing communications. Specifically, successful directors have the ability to translate a deep understanding of the business/product/consumer/experience into compelling creative briefing that empowers channel and creative teams to produce breakthrough communications.
As your partners’ conduit into the marketing channel organization, you have a strong understanding of each of the marketing channel levers, when to utilize each and to what extent. You are adept at facilitating integrated channel planning as informed by the strategic brief. Covered channels include paid/owned/earned across EM/DM, Onsite, Search, Digital Ads, Content, Events, Print, Radio and TV.
As Account Director, in partnership with your PM, you will manage incoming and outgoing work across your team to ensure balanced workload, accurate account billing and budgeting. You will ensure each project is tracked in workflow systems, an appropriate team is assigned, a kickoff is held and a schedule and estimate is created for client review.
The Director helps to determine which projects require review in Marketing Governance forums and is able to set appropriate context – advocating for your programs, outlining budget and forecasted results - with an executive audience in this forum.
As Director, you will lead or assist junior team members in kicking off and assessing creative team contributions, ensuring they are on brief. The Account Director will assist with/ lead client or internal creative review forums.
Along with your partners in Segment and Measurement, you act in a spirit of continuous improvement; understanding what marketing programs work, which should be optimized/eliminated. The Director is skilled at applying specific learnings more broadly, as appropriate.
The Account Director is a working role; you will play sole lead role on complex projects and support staff associates on multiple smaller ones understanding both the strategic implications and the execution detail. For example, act as lead for large-scale, x-business impending regulatory changes, act as consultative support for collateral redesign for new managed account product launch.

You will provide persuasive and compelling thought leadership as well as consultative contact with business partners at a senior level regarding the most effective way to leverage Fidelity’s communication vehicles and agency resources.
