To support the VP, Strategic Communications in designing and managing programs related to industry public relations, media engagement and communications; promoting industry product categories, CTA's member divisions ad executing related activities; disseminating information to media and other key audiences regarding CA, its member's industry trends and the consumer technology industry.
Develop and implement strategic plans to promote industry trends, concepts and product categories in support of CTA's divisions and related activities; manage associated budgets
Lead coordination of CTA's industry media engagement efforts including broadcast media tours, digital influence events, video production and infographics, and manage associated vendors
Identify, manage and leverage strategic, external partnerships (including consultants and vendors) and campaigns that support and advance specific division priorities and industry trends
Manage and develop department staff and promote operational excellence
Produce high-quality, written materials including media releases, industry promotional pieces media placements, social media content, etc.
Act as liaison with Membership Department and support the Communications Department's liaison with Market Research Department ot provide strategic communications support to internal staff and departments related to industry and CTA divisions
Act as media contact on industry issues and trends related to CTA and its member companies
Support CTA events such as CES, Innovate and Celebrate and CES on the Hill (ie., media interviews, strategic planning, content development), and promote assigned categories, trends and issues at CES
Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing publications, engaging with media members, etc.
Other duties as required by business needs
Work Experience:
8-10 years's experience working in communications or public relations, preferable on advanced technology-related programs and campaigns
Experience in personnel and budget management
Strong understanding of communications strategies and tactics
Education and Training:
Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications or similar field required
Skills/Capabilities/Technical:
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites and a variety of online applications
Strong project management skills
Experience in management and budgeting
Excellent writer and comfortable public speaker
Budget and Staff:
Responsibility for large budget
Support form Communications manger and other department staff
Additional Information:
Travel to CES is required
