The Director of Marketing Communications is accountable for planning, creating, and executing all marketing communications produced to support UE’s growth goals. This includes, but is not limited to, online campaigns targeted to prospects, website oversight, collateral development, and media relations activity.
The director consults with internal clients to recommend communications strategies that meet specific business goals, supervise the development and core editorial and design of the company's materials, and manage creative resources to follow a detailed communications calendar and a project plan.
Strong understanding of online marketing, including email campaign management, social media, and SEO/SEM
Experience in a B2B marketing environment, ideally within the education or insurance arena
Strong copywriting and editing skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills and a cooperative attitude with staff, customers and others
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and responsibilities
Experience with the creation and delivery of marketing and promotional support materials
Experience with formal survey programs and ability to coordinate a sustained feedback loop
Ability to analyze user feedback to create more effective messages, outreach materials, and operations
Flexibility.
Supervisory experience and skills.
7-10 years of experience in a similar capacity.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Leads online marketing efforts, developing Google Adwords, SEO/SEM, email marketing, and other campaigns to increase UE’s online presence
Oversees the creation of marketing materials
Manages the dissemination of UE intellectual property to prospective members to support growth objectives.
Provides planning and supervision to the prospect campaigns process
Manages and maintains processes that solicit and capture feedback from members and brokers including key performance indicators (KPIs) and other operational metrics.
Supervises Communications Associates
Provides trafficking function to adequately manage multiple projects within the department.
Conducts media buys for print and online advertising to support outreach objectives
