Senior Director Financial Compliance T-Mobile Bellevue

Job Description:
The Senior Director's decisions will cross all business units and functional activities. This role will particularly work closely with EIT leadership to continue to support EIT's ongoing control environment enhancements.
The Senior Director will be responsible for managing and leveraging a cost center budget of more than $2M, and an indirect report team of 15 FTEs and various co-source or outsource support. Additionally, s/he is accountable to the TMUS Audit Committee for securing appropriate resources to complete Control Self-Assessment (CSA) testing requirements. While the quality and accomplishments of a person's career will be the determining factor, the finalist must have the following requisite qualifications:
15+ years of audit, SOX compliance, risk management and/or fraud management experience is required. Must have Big Four public accounting experience, as well as SOX compliance experience in designing/implementing controls.
Experience in the telecom/wireless industry is preferred.
Must have 8+ years supervising IT/financial audit, SOX compliance, risk and/or fraud management activities.
Strong experience with PCAOB reviews including interpreting and implementing feedback is required.
Extensive knowledge of and skill in applying best practice internal controls designs and ensuring adherence with the COSO 2013 control framework.
Ability to oversee projects, ensure adherence to objectives and timelines, and to manage escalations to leadership.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Considerable skills in problem solving and negotiation.
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office products (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Visio for flowcharting, etc.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and an active CPA arerequired; CISA, CFE, or CIA is a plus.
Ability to travel 10% for training, third party vendor visits, visits to Deutsche Telekom for the ICS compliance program, etc. is required.

More Specifically, This Role Will Assume The Following Responsibilities
Build out and maintain the multi-year SOX strategic plan.
Partner with business units to drive company-wide control automation, standardization, etc.
Evaluate evolving PCAOB requirements and propose control environment changes. Evaluate program evolution against leadership expectations.
Encourage adoption of evolving best practice approaches.
Guide the Financial Compliance Director and team on prioritizing and incorporating business/program changes into the current year compliance plan.
Partner directly with the Financial Compliance Director and IT Senior Manager on control enhancements, automation, etc.
Review materials for and be a lead participant in T-Mobile's SOX Steering Committee.
Review the annual SOX404 and quarterly SOX302 memorandum results.
Support the CEO/CFO sub-certifications to the SEC.
Present at the TMUS Audit Committee on SOX/ICS related activities.
Heavy interaction with the Company's external auditors, including lead partner and IT partner.
Utilize extensive knowledge of PCAOB requirements and report out on information.
Participate on the TMUS Disclosure Committee.
Partner with the Information Technology organization (EIT) on control issues and automation.
Oversee completion of the Annual Financial Compliance Plan; evaluate resource appropriateness, and monitor external auditors' compliance plan, adherence to timelines, appropriateness of issue escalation, etc.
Identify and communicate business changes to the Financial Compliance Director for impact evaluation.
Conclude on the impact evaluations of potential control deficiencies.
Develop high performing teams through clear vision articulation, coupled with a structured career development plan.
Responsible for managing the Financial Compliance cost center budget.
Coordinate and secure co-sourcing and outsourcing support from professional service firms.
Oversee external auditor's current and proposed future internal controls budgets.
Participate in the Risk Advisor Program and the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) program.
Support broader Risk Management initiatives as requested by the VP, Internal Audit and Risk Management.
