As Director of People, you’ll play a strategic role in curating our culture during a period of incredible growth. You will be the voice & the face of the company when it comes to finding the best candidates to join our team and welcoming them to SnackNation on Day 1. You will also be the partner for our Leadership team in developing the playbook to develop tomorrow’s managers and leaders. More about the role…
This is not your standard “Director of HR” role
You’ll a key member of the Leadership Team – managing the entire People & Recruiting team – and will be responsible for maintaining the alignment between our company values and all HR-related practices and policies. You will be a true partner with every single VP at the company to help facilitate the culture and success of the company. We lead with a “people-first, product-second” mentality and you will be tasked with making sure this never changes.
Making People Better
You’ll need to know how to implement training programs & tools that will assist managers in hiring, managing and motivating their respective teams. You’ll build out world-class development curriculums and performance management programs to develop leaders across the company.
Finding New All-Stars
You’ll be responsible for all aspects of recruiting & onboarding – this includes building & leading the recruiting team to fill open positions within the given time & budget demands, managing the SnackNation employer brand across all internal/external resources, determining the best candidate sourcing strategy, and delivering the best new hire onboarding program.

Getting Everyone on the Same Page
You’ll be responsible for updating the employee handbook and administering all employee policies. Those systems (HRIS – Paycom & ATS – Lever) must always be up-to-date and available to provide accurate reports to the Leadership team.
Protect the Company
You will also ensure that all policies and practices comply with all applicable laws and, if necessary, follow-up on all workplace complaints & employee separations, including such aspects as engaging outside counsel, managing severance payments, protecting SnackNation from all employee-related risks.
The right candidates will have:
10+ years of progressive experience in human resources, preferably with exposure to high-growth, entrepreneurial environments
Developing world-class company cultures over a team of 100+ employees
Best-in-class recruiting knowledge with experience implementing best practices that scale with a business
Demonstrated skill in resolving employee relation issues and gaining employee confidence and trust
Proven ability to thrive in an ever-evolving environment with success in coaching, empowering, and counseling managers and employees to develop within their team and advance their career
Experience with the broad spectrum of HR subject matters including: worker’s compensation, unemployment insurance, discrimination (per state and federal), pregnancy, disability (ADA), age, gender, diversity, family and medical leave (state and federal), sexual harassment training, and EEOC reporting
Undergraduate degree required
Compensation:
Compensation is commensurate with your experience and proven past successes. We’ll design the package collectively, including a competitive base salary plus performance bonus and equity.
