The successful candidate will work closely with multiple constituencies as a key resource for BlackRock. The candidate will be responsible for increasing BlackRock’s platform presence across a variety of partner firm relationships and work closely with internal constituents to ensure success. The candidate will have a combination of sales, relationship management and analytical skills. The candidate will have the ability to identify and leverage information differentiating BlackRock’s mutual fund and separately managed account investment solutions to our key sponsor partners. The candidate will have proven track record in conducting client meetings and leading investment portfolio discussions. Additionally, candidate will have experience managing a team.
The candidate will demonstrate the following aptitudes:

Ability to engage clients/prospects in investment portfolio discussions and positioning BlackRock’s investment solutions
Superior communication skills, both written and verbal, especially via face to face meetings and conference calls
Creates and maintains long-term strategic trusting relationships with clients, both internal and external
In-depth knowledge of BlackRock’s investment products and ability to effectively communicate quantitative and qualitative aspects of investment process, philosophy, people and performance
Excellent judgment relative to communicating appropriate information to sponsor due diligence analysts
Deep understanding of capital markets and modern portfolio theory; superior grasp of investment strategies, industry/market knowledge and competitive landscape
Persuades and influences other; gains credibility quickly with multiple audiences
Must be proactive and take prompt action to accomplish objectives
REQUIREMENTS:

Experience:

Experience as a National Account Manager, Product Specialist, Institutional Sales professional, Consultant Relationship professional, money manager, or research analyst
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Highly organized, motivated and team player
Willing to travel up to 40% of time, primarily to sponsor home office locations.
15+ years relevant financial industry experience preferred
Education and Training:

BA/BS degree with a strong academic record;
CFA, MBA or graduate finance degree preferred
NASD licenses required (Series 7, 63, & 65 or Series 7 & 66)
