Director Occupational Toxicology Teva Pharmaceuticals Parsippany

Director, Occupational Toxicology, will report to Senior Director, Global EHS Product Stewardship to design and direct occupational toxicology programs and projects across the TEVA enterprise to support the work to protect employees, customers and products. As a member of the global product stewardship team at TEVA, you will partner and collaborate with members of the EHS community and businesses to support compliance and business continuity.
General Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop and execute impactful occupational toxicology strategy and program planning to promote continuous improvement.
Establish and manage OHCs and/or OELs for APIs and isolated intermediates handled across the TEVA enterprise.
Lead the work to establish and manage ADE/PDE for the Quality cleaning validation compliance strategy, process and projects in support of product quality.
Interact across a matrix environment (Chemical Development, Drug Safety, Discovery, Quality, etc.) on Occupational Toxicology including advising businesses on the hazards and handling of R&D compounds.
Promote occupational toxicology awareness or knowledge at all levels of the organization and broadly communicate occupational toxicological scientific successes and best practices
Assist with hazard assessments and assignment of regulatory classifications (toxicology SDS sections), in addition to having/developing an awareness of applicable CHC regulations
Develop and publish minimum global occupational toxicology standards and supporting enabling tools and guides.
Enable meaningful stakeholder involvement to drive occupational toxicology excellence.
Represent TEVA at external meetings and conferences, as required.
Qualifications

Master’s degree in toxicology or related field required. Doctoral degree preferred.
Minimum of 7 years full-time professional post-baccalaureate degree experience in toxicology required.
Recognized certification in occupational toxicology (e.g. DABT, ERT) required. Candidates who are eligible and willing to pursue certification will be considered.
Pharmaceutical industry experience preferred.
Comprehensive knowledge of occupational toxicology. Knowledge of environmental toxicology beneficial.
Experience in the development and installation of occupational toxicology management systems.
Proven project and program management skills
Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills
Experience with LEAN/process improvement methodology
