Director FP&A AMD Austin

The Director of the FP&A team is responsible for driving the annual budget process, monthly/quarterly forecasts, long-term plans and monthly reporting for certain budget areas as well as consolidated total company operational reporting to executive management and the Board of Directors.
This is a leadership role requiring strong interpersonal and managerial skills. We are looking for a confident and composed professional who is detail oriented, provides a thorough self and team review, and gives accurate reporting and analysis. You will drive process improvements and have the opportunity and expectation to help the business make critical investment decisions.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Coordinate integrated business planning activities across finance and operations teams including quarterly guidance, monthly forecasting, annual operating plans, and long-range planning models.
Identify risk mitigations and opportunities to meet and beat quarterly guidance through weekly corporate attainment process
Prepare monthly analysis that highlights the key business drivers for variances to budget, prior forecast, and prior periods for Revenue, COGS, and other operating expenses and headcount
Update quarterly board of director’s reports to reflect current CFO activities and AMD financial forecast
Facilitate system forecasting processes across finance and operations to capture latest business outlook and support downstream reporting applications
Plan and execute system enhancement projects to improve finance alignment and capability
Forecast and accrue employee annual incentive plans and sales incentive plans
Ability to anticipate the organizations needs and act proactively

Qualifications:

Experienced FP&A professional with 10+ years of increasing responsibility with a publicly-traded, multinational, high tech corporate finance organization
Undergraduate degree in Finance or Accounting, CPA / MBA preferred
Experienced people manager capable of leading teams in dynamic work environments
Strong working knowledge of GAAP for technology industries
Very strong communication skills and experience working with senior executives of large corporations
Results-driven approach with positive outlook and good team player
Strong business acumen in semiconductor industry is a plus
