Director Diversity & Inclusion ESPN Bristol

The role of Director of Diversity and Inclusion is to lead, build, and advance ESPN’s Diversity and Inclusion strategy. This role acts as the strategic consultant to business leaders and HR partners to continue to build upon ESPN’s strong culture. The ideal candidate will be able to collaborate and influence the work of diversity and inclusion by guiding and advising business leaders and teams.

Responsibilities:
Continuously evaluates the organization's policies, systems, and processes to ensure they fully incorporate diversity management competencies in all areas of the business.
Partners with the HRBPs and Business Unit Leaders to support the design and implementation of specific sector diversity and inclusion skill building.
Manages multiple projects and meets objectives; manages shared budget and resources across multiple business units.
Collaborates and acts as a team player across multiple areas of Human Resources, including partnership with the Talent Management, Talent Acquisition, People Analytics, and Human Resources Business Partner teams.
Manages diversity education programs and services, including creating and delivering customized training programs, working with the learning and development function and external vendors/consultants (as appropriate) to integrate diversity principals into leadership curriculum.
Develops and maintains external strategic partnerships with individuals and organizations that support ESPN’s diversity objectives.
Facilitates the development of an insights-driven strategic plan for diversity and inclusion across ESPN.
Consults with HR and business leaders to develop and integrate analytics-driven D&I strategies into line of business plans that align with business objectives.
Consults with Talent Acquisition and TWDC Diversity teams to diversify talent pipelines and to collaborate with external industry partners.
Conducts ongoing research on best practices and recommends strategies for continuous improvement of diversity initiatives.
Evaluates and reports on the effectiveness of ESPN diversity activities and their impact on business results.
Basic Qualifications:
7 or more years of experience in the field of diversity and inclusion, with a compelling track record of leading in a large corporate environment.
Prior leadership experience leading teams in diversity & inclusion
In depth knowledge of diversity concepts and programs.
Excellent leadership, project management, and consulting skills.
Knowledge of analytical techniques and how to leverage research and set measurable goals
Ability to communicate in clear and compelling ways and adapts appropriately to the environment
Exceptional interpersonal skills
Strong collaboration skills and the ability to build credibility and relationships
Required Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field and/or equivalent combination of experience
Preferred Education
Advanced degree
