Maintaining the Executive Committee’s longer term strategic focus on the company’s 2025 goals through monthly up-dates
Driving the formulation of actionable strategy recommendations to the Executive Committee and management teams, especially coordinating requests from ExCo members
Facilitating strategy discussions in broader teams across businesses and functions
Coordinating and creating strategy up-dates for the Supervisory Board, Capital Markets Day and Executive Committees
Playing a pivotal role in the Strategic Planning process (e.g. support ExCo decision making process regarding Business Units strategic plans) including synthesis and roll-up of business and market group strategic plans
Driving strategic decision making on Philip’s corporate portfolio management organic and inorganic options
Supporting global strategy projects across all Philips’ businesses, primarily focused on cross businesses and markets questions
In this role you report into the Senior management team of Strategy, M&A and Partnerships (SMAP). You support the Head of SMAP in creating high quality content materials driving corporate strategic decision making. You will lead a team of 1 or 2 professionals.

Structured around 4 global hubs located in Amsterdam, Andover, Singapore and Shanghai, the Strategy team consists of top-level strategists with wide-ranging backgrounds, nationalities, and competencies. The team works with Philips businesses, market organizations and functional teams, supplying them with deep business insights, actionable strategic direction and thought leadership.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
A talented Business Strategy leader with:
8-10 years’ experience in a top tier Strategy Consulting firm (BCG, Bain, McKinsey, Roland Berger, etc.) plus MBA from a top tier business school
Or non-MBA candidates: minimum of 10 years Strategy Consulting experience alternatively, 8-12 years in New Business Development or strategy role for a top-tier international company
International business experience (experience in emerging markets is a plus)
Health tech industry fundamental knowledge
People skills as well as a results-driven attitude when managing project teams
Exceptional written and oral communication skills to facilitate and support ExCo members
A Master’s in Business, Science or Engineering with excellent academic track record
A willingness to travel (25%)
