LinkedIn is looking for a Head of Sales Development Leader in North America(NAMER). As the Head of Sales Development NAMER, you will grow and lead a team of talented Sales Development Representatives(SDR’s) to deliver qualified leads and talent needed by sales to achieve the company’s objectives. This important role reports to the Global Director of Sales Development and is a tremendous opportunity to make a huge, direct impact on LinkedIn’s growth objectives. In this role you will be responsible for crafting and executing a visionary plan to scale and transform our sales development channels to be best in class. The role involves varied work, both in areas of strategy and in execution, management experience, along with access to extensive and interesting data. The Head of Sales Development NAMER will build and lead a team based across multiple offices including San Francisco, Chicago, and New York. Additionally, they will actively collaborate with global partners to drive leverage and scale through standardization where needed, and contribute to implementing strategic projects within the department, ranging from lead flow to career development.
Responsibilities:
Define the Sales Development/Lead Generation vision and strategy
Manage, lead and support an experienced, global lead generation management team to over achieve assigned quota of qualified leads to the field sales organization
Partner with the field sales & marketing organization to ensure goals, deliverables and expectations are aligned and met
Define and deploy best practice prospecting methodologies and processes across all aspects of the lead generation workflow
Segment target market and develop appropriate messaging and tools for each target segment
Drive creation and maintenance of Sales Development/Lead Generation training program and ensure the team is fully trained and certified in process, content and system skills
Deploy systems, tools and technologies, including Salesforce.com, marketing automation, and market intelligence tools, that ensure team productivity and efficiency with full metric tracking and reporting capabilities
Collaborate with product marketing to ensure the team is fully trained and certified in handling objections in email and phone responses
Leverage marketing operations for metric reporting and systems update needs
Stay abreast of and educate the team on industry leading best practices and methodologies, and ensure these are adopted as appropriate into our lead generation processes
Basic Qualifications:
10+ years of experience managing inside sales/sales development, call centers, or lead qualification teams
Preferred Qualifications:
Proven record of successfully overachieving targets in sales or sales support roles
Experience working within the recruitment, marketing and SaaS industry preferred
Strong people management skills with proven track record of developing talent
Established reputation as a high integrity, top performer
Strong communication skills, including written and verbal communication experience with senior management
Experience working in high-growth, performance focused environments.
Deep interest in analyzing data and the ability to see beyond the numbers to drive sound decision-making
A passion for getting things done and a desire to drive results
Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills with the ability to engage executive stakeholders and collaborate successfully across a senior cross functional leadership team
Passion for building and leading high growth acquisition, Sales Development/Lead Generation teams
Expert in prospecting best practices and tactics with the ability to train team members in how to successfully learn and deploy these best practices
Strength in working with varied groups including executive management, sales, operations, and marketing teams
The ability to create a vision and plot the steps necessary to achieve it
