Amazon Pay, one of the fastest growing businesses within Amazon, is seeking a global Head of Marketing Communications with a proven track record of success and extensive Brand, Communication and Content Management expertise in a global environment. You will use your passion, experience and vision to build and lead marketing communications team located in Seattle and in Europe.
As a senior leader on the Amazon Pay marketing team, you will work closely with product, sales, account management teams, and other stakeholders like PR and Legal to ensure alignment to overall objectives. You will own our brand strategy, content strategy, public relations, messaging framework and customer insights, developing a powerful and effective communications plan that enables us to drive adoption of our payments platform across multiple channels and multiple, unique audiences (merchants, buyers, partners, employees).
You will work in close collaboration with the internal PR teams to drive media and speaking opportunities. This leader is responsible for internal and external communications globally, liaising with both internal and external stakeholders.
This role requires an individual who can combine a vision of the future of digital commerce with a strong mind for operations, execution, and growth.
Strategic Responsibilities include:
· Leverage your deep insights on our key market segments to define and implement a global brand and content strategy that drives awareness, preference and adoption among merchants, buyers and our partner ecosystem
· Work with product marketing, product managers, and Amazon Pay leaders to identify core messaging and develop the big-picture understanding you will need to ensure content resonates with targeted audiences
· Define, create and manage the content strategy including development of a framework for prioritizing different personas and funnel stage, the corresponding editorial calendar an KPIs for reporting and measurement
· Oversee the design and production of the content (sales collateral, events collateral, digital assets) to support the acquisition and retention programs towards merchants and buyers
· Define and drive the brand positioning and guidelines
· Collaborate with digital marketing channel owners to understand content needs, opportunities to improve existing content, and prioritize the editorial calendar.
· Develop thought leadership content to help build our brand and our leadership voice.
· Establish mechanisms to ensure other marketing teams use messaging as a foundation in creative / collateral development
· Work in close collaboration with internal PR teams to drive the media relations opportunities
· Participate in the planning of external and internal events, conferences and fairs
· Develop and inspire a team of world-class Marcom managers
· Regularly audit and measure the effectiveness of our message and content assets to prioritize, define, create, and/or re-iterate content.
Basic Qualifications
Basic Qualifcations:
· 10-15+ years of B2B marketing experience with direct responsibility for brand and content strategy
· Successful track record developing effective thought leadership and sales enablement assets
· Direct people management experience
· 8+ years of experience in digital marketing
· 8+ years in brand marketing and go-to-market expertise
· Bachelor's degree

· Superior sense of brand and editorial voice; the ability to harmonize message across multiple channels and marketing vehicles
· Highly developed and polished written and verbal communication skills. Successfully able to present to and influence management at the VP level and above and are capable of writing and owning large, complex documents.
· Deep understanding of the e-commerce space
· Expertise in digital marketing strategies (and ideally mobile and social) channels; proven ability to generate innovate and effective content strategy that builds awareness, intent and conversion)
