Director Client Solutions Nielsen New York City

The Client Services Director will be working on one of Nielsen’s largest and most strategic client relationships. They will have four core areas of responsibility: (1) Client relationship/business development – supporting existing client relationships in core partnership areas and identifying and building new relationships across the client organization to drive commercial growth, (2) Operational (forecasting, pipeline mgmt., scaling programs), (3) Managing a small team of direct reports. The responsibilities will include managing a small team supporting existing products that a client buys, selling in existing products to clients, both syndicated and custom, and working with the rest of the CBP’s client team and Nielsen product resources to adapt current products or invent new products to meet client needs.
Responsibilities:

Working with direct reports, maintain and build relationships at the client; expand relationships across the client organization by building a comprehensive understanding of client and marketplace
Manage key partnership programs, partner with Product Leadership and clients to find opportunities to expand and grow programs
Partner with Client Business Partner to develop a comprehensive and achievable strategic plan for the business within a client account to drive revenue
Maintain team revenue pipeline and forecasting
Present opportunities to help clients grow our business through consultative selling and solid negotiating skills; grow revenue through sales of incremental products, new products and through consultative sales programs
Creatively bring new ideas and communicate special studies, custom analysis, elective subscriptions or new services to clients that are relevant to their business.
Create, deliver, and close proposals through effectively collaborating across Nielsen teams
Drive effective negotiations with the client by understanding the value of the data, developing proposals, and providing pricing.

Success Metrics:

Revenue growth from Nielsen products and services
Client satisfaction with Nielsen’s digital products and services
New client relationships and expansion of Nielsen footprint within the client

Position requirements:

Robust experience managing client relationships
Strong Interpersonal skills, highly motivated, strong orientation toward client relationships
Excellent communication and presentation skills to translate complex concepts into concise yet informative messaging for clients
Attention to detail, excellent problem solving skills, and ability to meet deadlines and respond to clients timely
Prior contract negotiation experience and persuasive negotiation skills to ensure client needs are well balanced internally and externally
Ability to operate in a fast pace environment, juggle multiple responsibilities simultaneously, and work well with a diverse customer base and various internal teams
Interest in analytics and big data
Minimum 7 years of professional experience
Preferred background in media, or marketing (e.g. from a digital agency, digital media company, or media analytics firm
