The Director of Business Solutions / Delivery Lead is a key role within the PGCS IT Leadership team. You'll be responsible for developing and delivering the Application Solution Strategy for PGCS, managing the application landscape and associated annual budget, managing project budgets from $100M to $2MM+, and leading a solutions team of approximately 40 PGCS Solutions resources. You will also be responsible for identifying step-change transformation opportunities, best practices leading to productivity improvements, and business case development for complex business, system and change projects.
Drive Business Solutions Strategy by liaising with business leadership and IT Business Relationship Management team on business strategy in order to determine the roadmap for PGCS capabilities and process requirements
Partner with Senior Functional Teams in governing and evolving the Operating Model, global processes, master data and controls
Ensure maximum value is extracted from Software Assets, especially SAP (leverage data, information and automation) and benefits are achieved and maintained
Overall responsibility for the stability and evolution of the global solution platform for PGCS
Function as the primary interface between senior business Management and the Solutions Team.
Manage the overall SAP/applications change agenda by prioritising business changes, ensuring optimal use of resources and maximising investments to achieve highest return
Balance needs of the business with the desire to minimise changes to standard SAP / other global applications
Provide oversight and strategic management of solution delivery across multiple projects and functions
Lead team resources/staff to deliver project solution and/or manage operations, within time and budget constraints; accountable for end-to-end delivery of all projects
Ensure Solutions team manage and resolve escalated business process issues and assess on-going problem areas, and in conjunction with Sustain implement permanent solutions
Essential Skills
Degree/Masters in related business area
Broad knowledge of the Finance, SCM and MFG functions, including an in-depth understanding of the key business processes
Strong knowledge of SAP capability and ability to leverage this knowledge to lead the design and development of solutions with the aid of the solution team functional experts
Good knowledge of the integration points between the various functional areas
Ability to consider, develop and deliver a process design for the enterprise as a whole
Ability to lead complex design decisions amongst competing priorities
Experienced at a senior level in a multinational or consulting environment with the potential to lead the IT function
Possess good decision making skills
Be an excellent communicator with excellent verbal and written skills
Have expertise in project management and be organized and capable of multi-tasking
