Senior Product Manager Amazon Seattle

We’re looking for an experienced product leader who will set our strategy and then execute in this area. A successful candidate will have an established background in launching software or services, an entrepreneurial background, and a passion for great customer-centric online products. In this role, a Senior Product Manager will study the unique requirements for payment services for businesses and consumers, and work with counterparts in engineering and sales to design, launch, and improve our services.
As a Senior Product Manager, you will be responsible for the following:

Identifying market opportunities and driving product strategy, roadmap, and features;
Managing the product life cycle from strategic planning to tactical execution;
Leading the product functional design and UX design process;
Prioritizing engineering work and balancing the requirements of customers and stakeholders;
Evangelizing the product both internally and externally;
Interacting with customers to identify needs, opportunities, and gaps, and solve problems;
Working with key stakeholders in the company to support sales, account management, operations, and customer support
Defining product requirements based on an intimate knowledge of the customer and technology;
Defining and executing the go-to-market plan, working to insure that marketing and sales have what they need to be successful;
Establishing the product’s goals and reviewing success metrics to achieve commercial success; and
Innovating on behalf of our customers.
Basic Qualifications

5+ years of product management or equivalent experience with web technologies
Bachelor of Science or Business degree required
Proven track record driving innovation on behalf of both enterprises or consumers
Demonstrated customer focus
Proven experience delivering technology products/services in a high growth environment with a demonstrated ability to translate customer needs into business and product requirements


Preferred Qualifications

Engineering degree or Masters of Business Administration
Experience managing people
Experience working on an e-commerce team at an online retail or media company
Experience working on service oriented architecture (SOA) platforms
Experience working in the merchant-acquiring side of payments
An understanding of financial transaction processing networks and systems (Credit Card, ACH, etc)
An understanding of risk and compliance controls used in the payment industry
Exposure to development for mobile devices
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Broad range of skills from high level strategic thinking to creative and detailed execution
