Director Recruiting Anki San Francisco

Anki is seeking a global leader for Recruiting to lead the ongoing build-out and operations of our in-house recruiting team and manage external recruiting sources. This leader will drive the strategy and operations for recruiting across multiple countries and multiple office locations.

This role will be responsible for building a world class recruiting organization. This leader will ensure that Anki identifies, engages, and hires the strongest team with the right cultural fit for Anki. In addition, this role will be responsible for partnering with the business to determine Anki’s key needs and developing new strategies for identifying, engaging, and closing the best candidates for all disciplines across the globe.
Responsibilities:

Become a contributing member of the senior management team that effectively embodies and promotes the culture and values of Anki, and lead the team to do the same.
Deliver against an aggressive hiring plan while building out our team, systems and processes
Provide guidance on organizational effectiveness, change management and conflict resolution.
Build strong working relationships with leaders across Anki over time through collaboration on projects that impact teams across Anki
To continue Anki’s vision, we will need a recruiting leader who will lead a team that continues to delight candidates. To accomplish this, it will be crucial to be a lead to plan for the future by building teams and operational systems capable of scaling to a substantially larger capacity
Keep recruiting policies relevant as Anki evolves
Implement efficient, scalable recruiting business processes which support Anki’s growth
Meet the quarterly and annual recruiting objectives
Continue to build out and manage a strong bench of star recruiters, sourcers and coordinators across the organization
Lead strategic, proactive and consultative recruiter capabilities for all internal client departments and talent markets
Define overall team and performance goals across the team, in partnership with the recruiting leaders and partners on the finance team
Build out and manage back-end recruiting operations capabilities including compliance, process improvements, and recruiting-related analytics
Develop and lead recruiting training programs for all recruiting staff
Provide leadership, inspiration and coaching to the recruiting teams in the US and globally
Lead hiring and career development for a recruiting team of smart, highly ambitious professionals across a variety of recruiting roles
Develop and manage recruiting reports, dashboards, and metrics. Establish and track metrics to measure the efficiency and effectiveness of the recruiting team, hiring managers, interviewers, and referrers
Partner with the rest of the People team to provide excellent strategic partnership and guidance, identify efficiencies and build strong operating systems on issues related to compensation, operations, on-boarding and the long-term success of candidates once they join Anki
Articulate, own and lead the vision for Anki recruiting globally to create a unified team with shared vision, shared goals and partnership in execution
Create systems, tools and processes that provide a feedback loop that makes candidates and client satisfaction data accessible and actionable
Develop and execute strategic approach to achieve company goals in staffing
Create innovative programs, events and campaigns to help hire the best engineers, sales, marketing, people, legal team, product managers and designers, including innovative use of Anki.com itself
Partner with Marketing and Founders to build on the strengths of Anki’s existing recruiting brand, recruiting messaging, and candidate-facing recruiting tools
Partner with IT to implement and iterate on recruiting information systems (ATS, recruiting CRM systems, and recruiting data systems). Act as customer and business owner for these systems
Qualifications:

Minimum of 15 years strategic staffing/staffing mgmt experience. Prior track-record of successfully building, inspiring and managing a large-scale global recruiting (or similar business operations) function for a high-growth technology company
Excellent analytic and metric-based skills
Technical background in analytical software and/or databases preferred
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and people leadership skills
Experience working and partnering with engineers and technical teams and/or in a broad technical environment is strongly preferred
Having an innovative, apolitical, creative problem-solving mindset, with ability to thrive in a rapidly growing, fast-changing and highly collaborative environment
An ability to build and coordinate cross-functional teams from a wide range of disciplines
Recruiting experience in a high-growth, fast-paced, and changing environment
Unparalleled organizational, communication, leadership and customer service skills
Project and event management skills
Ability to adjust to rapidly changing technology and make decisions with limited information
Experience in building and managing offshore resources is desirable
Willingness to work hours outside of normal PST business hours to ensure service globally
