The Director provides a strategic vision and an operational plan to support the Television business and other strategic divisions (e.g. Consumer Products, Digital Networks), including the rapidly expanding SVOD market. A primary focus of this role is on new business opportunities/strategies and major client initiatives and partnerships.
The Director will ensure that the Television Client Relations team works across the various TV groups including marketing, contracts, legal and sales teams to understand content development and monetization strategy and to work closely with the Content Servicing groups to streamline content delivery to client partners (maximize revenue and support digital market growth). The Director works closely with other key WBTO team leads to ensure all processes are operating as required and areas for continuous improvement are identified and acted upon that support the goal of 100% on time, on quality delivery.
The Director is responsible for reviewing new Technical specifications and Industry Standards implementation and will work collaboratively across cross-functional teams to provide feedback, and determining implementation path, impact, and business/operational relevance to various initiatives across the studio. The Director will provide leadership and guidance for the on-boarding of clients to the studios mission critical systems and providing guidance on the roll out of client facing internal applications and systems.
Work across all stakeholders/teams (sales, marketing, contracts, legal, finance, content servicing , anti-piracy, etc.) to define and implement the operational processes to support a mature Television broadcast business as well as new and expanding partnerships and services (e.g. SVOD, 4K/Next Gen, Next Day Air etc.). Develop and execute strategies for content distribution globally (post theatrical) for new and emerging business models and partnerships.
Manage client relationships and communications and develop and implement best practices for client satisfaction strategies and performance tracking. Includes identification of key performance metrics and creation, implementation and monitoring of standard KPIs for consistent and regular monitoring.
Collaborate cross-functionally with other Warner Bros. and Technical Operations groups to drive change and facilitate Change Management initiatives; provide leadership and continuous improvement and development opportunities not only for the Television Client Relations team, but the department and division as a whole.
Serve as a business lead and subject matter expert for the various mission critical technology initiatives (e.g. TOPS, DETE, COSMOS) - helping to drive adoption and buy-in from internal and external clients and providing input to overall program strategy.
Provide training, mentoring and career development to team members to expand skill sets in order to adapt to a rapidly changing environment and facilitate retention of high potential talent.
What do we require from you?
At least 7 years of experience managing a client focused team.
5+ years professional experience in a supply chain role for a distribution division.
5+ years deep experience with digital media processes.
Working with systems that support a digital supply chain and studio workflows.
Prior experience with system requirements definition and system implementation.
Prior experience leading cross functional internal and external to meet business objectives.
Related background and an interest in film and television.
Bonus Points for
A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field.
Experience working in Television broadcast distribution.
Skills in re-engineering projects and change management efforts.
