In this position, you will be responsible for assisting the leader of Internal Audit in leading the Global Internal Audit function within Bacardi, partnering closely with the business and external audit teams. The position reports to SVP, Internal Audit, Continuous Improvement & Projects
You will be responsible for planning, coordinating and implementing a comprehensive corporate audit program and will bring a systematic, disciplined, and balanced approach to evaluating and improving the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management, and corporate governance.
Drive results and excellence in execution
Have responsibility and accountability for all Internal Audit activities, including involvement in Sarbanes – Oxley (SOX).
Assist VP Internal, Audit in developing and executing a risk focused internal audit plan (annual) based on the Company’s inherent risk profile and other concerns identified by management and the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors
Assess the effectiveness of the internal control environment and develop plans to address areas for improvement
Develop Quality Review plan and protocols. Review auditee feedback and develop action plans to address improvement areas
Own Audit Report process - review all reports prior to issuance, issue reports to management and the Audit Committee and drive timely responses
Assist in preparation of the annual and quarterly updates to the Audit Committee
Involvement in quarterly update meetings with the Finance leadership team (FLT) to present IA status, discuss common findings and identify and agree actions required.
Work closely with the VP Corporate Controller to evaluate Bacardi’s organization structure and recommend way to improve controls via clarified roles / responsibilities.
Provide guidance to management with recommendations to strengthen internal controls, manage risk and improve efficiency of operations
Participate in hotline investigations as requested
Provide a professional and objective internal audit team with sufficient knowledge, skills and experience.
Work with operations and finance management to provide and share practical leading practices
Where requested, review the operating effectiveness of Compliance activities
Act as a champion for the training and development of Bacardi Internal Audit

Critical experiences for success
To be successful in this role you will have/be:
Previous audit management experience
Big 4 trained but also Internal Audit experience in large company
Ability to oversee the management of projects to ensure successful delivery (on time and within budget) while identifying potential issues/risks
Experience in leading internal teams
Experience working in a global, matrix organization
Knowledge resource on Risk, Controls, and Leading Practices
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks/projects and adapt to a changing, fast paced environment.
Willingness to travel internationally to fulfill the role.
Able to work effectively and achieve results in a matrix organization
Ability to identify risks, controls mitigation, root cause issues and develop plans to resolve
Skilled at understanding and analyzing end-to-end operational and financial processes
Skilled at organizing and prioritizing multiple projects and resource constraints to optimize results
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and comfort in interacting and influencing within all levels of the organization
