Job Description:
Amazon.com is looking for a high judgment, deeply analytic, customer obsessed leader for Fees, Advanced Analytics, Seller Engagement and Insights, and Marketing for Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA). FBA leverages Amazon’s global fulfillment and customer service network for third party sellers who want to grow their business on and off Amazon.com. FBA enables customers to take advantage of Free Shipping and Amazon Prime on third party items, while enabling sellers to focus on sourcing new products and selling rather than storing, shipping and providing customer service. The Director will be responsible for defining and delivering the FBA product in terms of seller experience and success, ease of use, increasing product adoption, and increasing the value of FBA for the buyer, the seller, and Amazon.

The role is responsible for delivering business results through economic optimization. The role requires a high level of interaction and collaboration with our Chief Economist, Retail and Marketplace businesses, and the Supply Chain Optimization Technologies and Prime teams.

The Director leads four teams responsible for the recruitment, growth and success of sellers that ship billions of dollars in gross merchandise sales growing at 50%+ per year and the economic optimization of the FBA business. As mentioned by Jeff Bezos, Founder and CEO of Amazon.com, in his annual letter to shareholders in 2006, 2008, 2011 and again in 2015, FBA is one of the strategic long term opportunities for the Amazon to improve the lives of sellers and buyers while leveraging our billion dollar logistics infrastructure to generate increasing free cash flow and triple digit return on invested capital.

In This Role, The Director And Her/his Teams Will
Provide strategic direction in the use of FBA fees to drive Seller behavior and maximize long term profitability of FBA
Recommend annual fee changes for 11 marketplaces to the Vice Presidents and Senior Vice Presidents that lead the countries, Seller Services, and FBA business
Analyze opportunities, develop and implement strategies and define business plans to grow FBA to a Fortune 50 business in the next few years
Set strategic direction of the Advanced Analytics team, which uses Big Data and advanced analytic methods to answer to impactful, difficult questions and to create products and tools to increase the efficiency of the FBA team
Provides analytical insights about Seller behavior to the product and business teams
Define business goals, prioritize objectives and align resources
Drive project completion and seller adoption on complex and strategic global projects with significant bottom-line impact
Influence and evangelize FBA with Senior leadership in our Retail, Marketplace and Operations organizations
Improve FBA seller success as measured by their year over year growth and profitability
Own all marketing and merchandising activities focused on seller recruitment and increasing seller commitment to FBA
15+ years in general management
Bachelor's degree
7+ years’ experience leading teams of ten or more
5+ years’ experience of P&L ownership in a multi-national firm.
MBA
Ability to take a company-wide view innovate and have impact globally
Ability to identify key leaders to build the organization for the future.
Experience developing, executing or changing a vision or strategy and the organization through the communication of the vision or strategy.
Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and varying levels of the organization.
Orientation toward building new innovative products and businesses including the organizational support required to launch them
Experience evaluating business and product strategies in an industry experiencing dramatic change.
Experience in supply chain, customer management, managing demand and inventory to optimal levels, and global product development.
Ability to make difficult decisions involving trade-offs between important business aspects and stakeholders
Experience relying heavily on data and analysis in driving decision making.
