As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You're equally at home explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers.
Using your extensive technical and leadership expertise, you manage projects of various size and scope, identifying future opportunities, improving processes and driving the technical directions of your programs.

Responsibilities
Gather requirements, define proper project scopes, find resources and manage resource allocation for projects. Work with customers to develop plans and schedules with well-defined milestones.
Manage communication of progress/status with stakeholders in various locations and timezones; Own and nurture relationships between cross-functional teams. Develop reports to track planning, scheduling, issues, risks and communicate overall status.
Drive process development and iterative optimizations. Oversee the creation of new processes and tools as necessary to support additional needs and requirements of a fast growing business.
Build queries and dashboards to support decision making for the team. Own creation of metrics for updates and monthly/quarterly reviews for the team; Own and drive team communication plan.
Work with internal teams to manage multiple, simultaneous data center networking projects from inception through completion. Evaluate data and recommend technology insertion decisions to remove roadblocks and keep processes running smoothly.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications:
BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or related fields or equivalent practical experience.
8 years of relevant work experience managing technical projects.
Experience with SQL, scripting, analytics, data management and visualization tools.
Preferred qualifications:
10 years of technical experience with an additional 5 years of managing a large global enterprise network team.
Demonstrated skills in requirements gathering, resource organization, task prioritization and scheduling.
Strong technical, project management, communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
