Marketing thought leader responsible for driving consumer-centric brand strategies for Macy’s Private Brands to position Macy’s as a fashion authority. Reports to GVP Marketing Strategies

• Develop customer centric, omni-channel marketing strategies built to drive engagement, brand loyalty, traffic to stores and macys.com and ultimately conversion.
• Lead the marketing/merchant relationship as the key liaison to drive the “big ideas” and product authority across brands and classifications throughout the media mix. Relationship includes omni-marketing and merchant partners in developing and influencing on key brand strategies.
• Be the authority on “The Customer” through deeper understanding of available consumer data to build stronger relationships with our customers resulting in higher affinity/loyalty for our brands. Develop highly segmented marketing strategies targeted to increase consumer lifetime value and drive acquisition.
• Drive marketing strategies rooted in performance and new idea generation. Develop marketing strategies with a strong understanding of key performance indicators along with intense curiosity of the every changing marketing landscape to stay ahead on trends and drive new ideas.
• Optimize brand performance and conversion on macys.com through strategic development of the branded site experience with collaboration with Omni-Marketing Partners, MMG Merchants, Digital Merchants and Creative teams.
• Partner with MMG Social Media Team on key marketing initiatives across product big ideas, special events, PR and digital activations.
• Build high impact, brand right digital media campaigns with partnership with Digital Agency and Omni-Digital Team utilizing key performance insights and added value opportunities.
• Drive the seasonal financial planning process to determine best marketing spend strategies by brand and tactic to deliver optimal results. Utilize performance results to impact future recommendations.
• Partner with PR and Advertising Agencies to develop seasonal strategies that align with key performance metrics.
• Develop and produce exceptional special events in collaboration with Macy’s Inc. special events and PR teams.
• Build and develop strategic and agile team with strong business acumen ability and a clear focus on core marketing priorities.
Qualifications:
Education/Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field; MBA a plus
• 6 + years’ experience in marketing, advertising and/or retail
• Track record of developing effective marketing strategies that drive engagement, loyalty and sales
Communication Skills:
• Must have strong leadership skills balanced with high level of business acumen, agility, ability to motivate a team, communicate effectively and establish credibility with senior management
Other Skills:
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously
