Personalization is a key area of focus for Vevo, it will be engraved on most features within the Vevo experience. We’re looking for an accomplished, hands-on, data scientist to lead the recommendations and personalization team at Vevo. This individual will lead a team of machine learning engineers and scientists working on core consumer facing experiences for all Vevo products across all client platforms. This individual will work very closely with the Data Platform Engineering, Product and Mobile/Web teams to deliver personalized experiences.

Responsibilities
Work with the Product team in building the roadmap and executions plans for personalization and recommendations
Work closely with the Data Platform Engineering team to ensure application of engineering best practices with respect to reliability, scalability, security and privacy
Lead and mentor team of Machine Learning engineers and data scientists
Establish metrics and KPIs to measure the quality of recommendation and personalization over time for various consumer-facing features
Lead team to develop large scale Machine Learning systems to deliver the personalized Vevo experiences
Lead team to develop large scale consumer facing services
Lead team to generalize and democratize Machine Learning systems so they can be used for various use cases
Qualifications
PhD in Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science or related quantitative degree is required
Minimum of 12 years of industry experience
Proven track record of overseeing Data Science teams
Proven experience with content recommendations
Excellent written and oral communicator
Excellent project management skills
