The IT GMS organization is focused on building tools and others solutions for our Sales and Marketing challenges and emphasizes creative uses of Facebook’s massive data set that help transform how our Sales and Marketing functions engage with our customers. The right leader for this role will create a vision for our GMS tools long term and be able to bring together competing objectives and demands in a manner that maximizes the impact for our customers and the company. We are looking for someone who with inspire brilliant engineers, and creative product managers while meeting the needs of the business. This position is full time and based in our headquarters in Menlo Park and will report directly to the CIO.
Responsibilities
Work with the Sales and Marketing Teams to define key future state capabilities for internal products (information systems, tools, and data services) that drive incremental revenue for Facebook and productivity for the GMS organization
Partner with GMS leaders, Product Management, Engineering and business intelligence teams to define a joint roadmap of initiatives that implement future state capabilities and develop a long term vision and plan to grow the impact of the GMS IT Organization
Define and analyze metrics that inform the success of internal products
Lead a team of internal product managers and engineers to execute the roadmap and to ship high quality products that realize measurable business outcomes
Lead the ideation, technical development, and launch of internal products
Understand Facebook’s strategic and competitive position, approach to engineering and deliver products that are recognized best in the industry
Establish shared vision across GMS, Ad Tech and Product Marketing Leadership by building consensus on priorities
Ensure that GMS IT is strategic to the success of GMS and Facebook
Minimum Qualifications
BS/MS in an Engineering or Computer Science discipline
10+ years experience in leading engineering and product management teams with a track record of shipping high quality software products
Experience in designing, developing or implementing CRM products at an enterprise scale
Experience leading organizations and ability to hire, develop, and scale engineering and product teams to hundreds of people
Demonstrated understanding of technical architecture of scalable web applications and/or media products
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to process and analyze data sets, and interpret them to make business decisions
Experience with product and technology portfolio rationalization and simplification
Technical competence with Data/BI
Media industry experience
