Minimum 12+ years of IT industry experience
Experience working with or in the automotive industry / Networks Product solutions / IoT industry
Have a technical background, with experience in Automotive Networks, IOT platforms, Cloud infrastructure and experience in design and implementation complex
Should have architected complex solutions involving mobile, server preferably on the cloud, and Embedded devices (desired)
Worked on some of networking protocols - (Vehicle NW, High-speed CAN, V2V,V2I, Upstream Communication (Wi-Fi, 3G/4G, 802.11p, etc.,
Experience/knowledge on Back End technologies including relational and non-relational databases, memory caching, queuing, application frameworks (primarily Java), cloud deployment and services
Expert in software communication protocols like: HTTP(S), REST, Webservices, PUB/SUB, JMS
Experience architecting scalable, high available, geo redundant cloud services (preferably using micro-service architecture) is desirable
Experience with IoT Cloud Platforms (AWS IoT, ThingWorx, IBM BlueMix)
Embedded systems experience and familiarity memory, CPU and power constraints
Have a good understanding of Automotive IoT technology and protocols that can be adapted to build solutions for smart cities.
Good understanding of security concepts, preferably past experience implementing security concepts (beyond the standard SSL).
Exposure to Highly Scalable Secure Mobility - Industry leading architectures: LISP, PFR - Mobile IPv6, Network Mobility (NEMO)
Exposure / experience with sensors, gateways and APIs
Experience in working in a matrix reporting structure
Experience in managing suppliers
Masters / Ph.D. in Electronics / Computer Science / Networking is preferable
Responsibilities:-
Work with the business development teams and sales organization to understand what ICT platforms, products and services are needed in the urban mobility domain and to understand where the gaps exist in our current solutions.
Work with the product team, develop and prioritize use-cases, and evaluate solutions from a technology and business perspective.
Make final recommendations on which solutions clients should pursue and will help develop the partnership with 3rd parties
Work with a Connected Car Core architecture team to understand the architecture and design for the IoT core and then will be responsible for picking technologies and solutions (through partnerships) to meet the needs of our customers.
Be a technical resource for the pre-sales/strategy team and may be involved in some pre-sales activities and documentation.
Help with the development of custom solutions and will help hand off the solutions to the customer engineering teams.
Track industry trends in the IoT / Automotive Connected Car Security / Safety space
