Specific activities:
• Build the global integrated marketing plan for the Networking & Security Business Unit (NSBU) by working across business units, corporate marketing teams and geographies
• Identify and champion marketing objectives to meet business unit and sales goals
• Collaborate with digital marketing, customer programs, events, partner marketing, thought leadership and other corporate marketing teams
• Specify campaign and program requirements to achieve marketing objectives and support field-based geo teams; facilitate the development of assets as needed
• Leverage strategic audience programs and campaigns as key ‘routes to market’
Key responsibilities:
• Lead a cross-functional, virtual team to develop and drive integrated marketing plans that align to the customer buying cycle and deliver pipeline results for our Network & Security Business Units (NSBU)
• Serve as marketing point representative for launch planning and execution
• Report on results of marketing initiatives; serving as a key voice of the business across geographies
• Working cross-functionally to coordinate marketing strategy and execution across Global Go-to-Market, Enablement and Services organizations
• Source or develop assets to support marketing initiatives including thought leadership pieces, business whitepapers, presentations, infographics, webcasts, etc. to be used by field marketing teams, global marketing teams, strategic audience programs and partner marketing
• Engage with field marketing teams and sales leaders to gather requirements and feedback to develop relevant and compelling assets and tools for customers and partners
• Serve as marketing, go-to-market and line of business expert who understands strategy and goals, value propositions, competitive landscape, positioning, differentiators and messaging framework
Qualifications:
• 10-15+ years solution/product marketing experience, preferably in large, fast-paced high-tech company
• Proven track record delivering innovative, creative and integrated marketing plans that increase awareness, and drive demand generation. Demonstrated experience reporting on plan results to executives and line-of-business stakeholders.
• Experience working with multiple marketing disciplines and with multiple geographies.
• Proven experience with developing content for different marketing mediums (campaigns, social media, collateral, etc.) and experience managing third party vendors
• Ability to work on multiple projects at once, set priorities, work independently, problem solve, improvise, and function as part of a team that often must perform under pressure
• Demonstrated ability to lead, influence and work across organizational boundaries with broad range of peers and executives
• Experience fostering collaboration and teamwork across cross-functional teams that are not under direct control
• Superior communications skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to embrace change and adapt to a dynamic business with changing needs and priorities.
• Able to travel up to 25%
• Preferred: Experience in the virtualization, and networking and security products, solutions, and services.
