Sony Corporation of America is seeking a Director of Marketing to join the Customer and Member Engagement team located in Park Ridge, NJ. The Sony Corporation of America Customer and Member Engagement Marketing team is tasked with delivering a personalized and seamless marketing experience to generate greater customer lifetime value across Sony.

Reporting to the Vice President of Customer and Member Engagement Marketing, we seek a data-driven and customer-oriented Marketing Director with a proven track record of thought leadership across acquisition marketing and CRM with a proven ability to succeed in a matrixed organization. The qualified candidate will also have demonstrated ability to innovate and leverage big data, analytics, and technology (MarTech, AdTech, and platforms) to deliver transformational business results. This role is critical to fulfilling the vision and mission of the SCA Customer Marketing team and will be an integral part of driving brand affinity, customer engagement, and sales.

Responsibilities

Lead the team responsible for multi-channel, integrated marketing strategy and execution for cross-Sony programs (including Sony Rewards and co-brand credit cards) designed to help increase customer lifetime value. Leveraging data, analytics, and digital technology, develop customer insights based on behaviors within and outside Sony ecosystem to deliver new and innovative customer-centric activation that unlocks the full value of paid, owned, and earned assets.

Collaborate with marketing resources across Sony Group Companies and agency partners to develop and lead the execution of multi-channel, integrated marketing plans to achieve objectives.
Develop and manage marketing budget.
Track, monitor, and report on progress to goals and other identified KPIs both internally within SCA marketing organization and externally to key stakeholders.
Mentor a team of 5 high performing marketing managers and create a high commitment work environment where people are motivated and encouraged to achieve through empowerment and development.
Travel is approximately 30-40% to business partners on the west coast.


Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree is required, MBA is a plus.
A minmum of10 years of progressive marketing experience with demonstrated success in using data-rich digital and traditional solutions to improve brand affinity, customer acquisition, retention and profitability.
Ability to develop marketing strategies across various digital (and traditional) channels, and the ability to translate them to actionable and well-executed tactics that span internal and agency partners.
Critical thinking to separate signal from noise. Creative thinking to solve for roadblocks. Methodical, disciplined, and focused in executing toward specific outcomes
Works well in team efforts, building trust and respecting boundaries. Mentors rather than simply manages the team.
Proven self-starter who can identify new opportunities, develop strategies to drive growth, and push projects forward, as well as a desire to push innovation and drive business
Analytical thinker comfortable with using data to optimize current campaigns and inform future planning
Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills, especially with communicating results to key stakeholders across the organization
