Director - Commercial Product Sales Planning - Hyundai Capital America - Irvine


Job description
Leads the Commercial Products Sales Planning Team with focus on developing sales strategies for Dealer Finance (i.e. Floor plan, Real Estates, Working Capital, etc.) and Business Finance (ie CVF, Fleet, Leasing Co, etc.) products. Responsible for pricing, product development, market competitive analysis, monitoring, and strategy recommendations. Manages a team dedicated to Commercial Products and partners with other departments to effectively lead all product and sales strategies.

Essential functions of the position:
Leads Commercial Sales initiatives, develops consensus for enhancements to programs throughout the HCA Organization and OEM's. Responsible for developing recommendations for implementation and modifications to products and related pricing. Shares and presents findings with HCA Executives, HCA Departments, and Sales Staff.
Develops and manages Commercial market strategies and partnering with Sales Management, Marketing, Credit, and Risk Departments. Full responsibility for developing and managing assigned staff


Works closely with Field Sales teams and OEMs to build, implement, and monitor product strategies.
Interfaces with customers to develop product standards, service level agreements, and delivery systems as needed.
Complete Ad Hoc assignments/reporting as requested by Management/Executives
Operational oversight for product implementation, growth strategies, and pricing/profitability

Secondary functions of the position:
* Strong PowerPoint and presentation skills are required. Must also have good skills utilizing Excel, Access and Word. MS Project experience helpful.
* Excellent written communication skills, must understand technical terms related to Retail, Lease, and Commercial Financing. Must be able to communicate complex terms and concepts to Executive Management both visually (PowerPoint) and in writing. Consulting experience a plus.
* Good Analytical Skills
* Must have knowledge of automotive industry and understanding of Commercial Financing including Dealer Finance and Business Finance.

Education and Experience:
* College degree
* Captive finance / auto experience preferred
* 10+ years of experience
