Sony Corporation of America (SCA) is seeking a Director to join the Marketing Technology group. In this position, the Director, Marketing Technology will be responsible for establishing and executing on a technical roadmap in conjunction with the Tokyo platform team for a consolidated Marketing Tech Stack aligned to the desired marketing capabilities of the Customer Journey Marketing team and key stakeholders.

Coordinate/sequence implementation of select tools based on feasibility assessment (current available tech/ data components) in conjunction with marketing needs defined in collaboration with marketing teams
Manage 3rd party agency partners that are being used to establish technical specifications (BRD/TRD) for the key components of the marketing tech stack
Act as the primary liaison with Tokyo CJ Platform teams and 3rd party agencies to ensure development process and approach is effectively communicated with key partners
Lead the evaluation, execution and operations of 3rd party technology solutions such as ESP, onboarding tools, campaign tools, etc. in conjunction with the overall technology roadmap
Lead the creation and management of a Center for Operational Support team, including one dedicated resource, that is focused on risk mitigation and operational efficiency within a shared SFMC/ET US platform
Coordinate and present in regular update meetings with SVP & VP as well as Tokyo platform team on the status of key marketing platform initiatives
Develop presentation materials that provide overviews and status of the US CJ platform initiatives for stakeholder meetings containing audiences with varying degrees of data/technology experience & resources
Update management & BU stakeholders on key changes & themes in the broader industry surrounding marketing technology. Stay abreast of new variables which may impact US Technical Roadmap
Serve as Business Liaison for Marketing Technology to InfoSec, Privacy & Legal groups to ensure alignment and compliance on all roadmap initiatives
Establish and maintain data governance rules associated with the democratization of customer data across businesses and identify tools/technology for policing these rules.
Qualifications:
Must develop and maintain the respect of all leaders of the organization to be successful in this role.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university; Masters degree preferred. Course focus on engineering, computer science, marketing, or mathematics preferred
Minimum of 10 years of marketing technology experience in digital and/or CRM
Subject matter expertise in technologies and tools to support digital marketing media across at least 2 of the following digital channels: site, display, search, mobile and social.
Strategic planning expertise, the ability to manage change, and the desire to operate effectively
Working knowledge of Customer Relationship Marketing (CRM) technical concepts and tools including relational databases, customer data integration, analytic modeling, campaign management and business intelligence systems.
Excellent structured communication skills with the ability to frame complex digital marketing, CRM and technical concepts in a way that facilitates discussion and deeper levels of understanding at our clients
Ability to bridge marketing and technology personnel
Strong MS PowerPoint skills and ability to present to technical, business, and marketing audiences
Ability to engage at multiple levels to influence decisions
Ability to work in matrix environment and to serve as individual and team contributor, leading projects and initiatives
Experience managing both internal and external partner relationships with strong influence management skills
Exceptional interpersonal, written/oral/listening communications and presentation/persuasion skills
Experience in global markets a plus
Must have a passion for data and the ability to draw conclusions from complex data sets.
