VICE Media is looking for a Director of Production Accounting to lead our VICELAND TV studio accounting team. The position will oversee the financial management for all of our television series, development, pilots and specials, as well as, serve as the liaison between the physical production/studio arm and the network finance team.

● Lead a team of 5- 6 accountants
● Responsible for the fiscal management and administration of both internal and external
facets of development and production for original, licensed, and acquired network
programming
● Responsible for working with the VP of Finance and SVP of Production in implementing
department procedures and workflows
● Coordinate and manage pre-production finance and accounting inclusive of budget review,
greenlight approvals, payroll/accounting systems set up, and production cash flow
● Closely monitor the production progress to ensure swift financial issue resolution
● Provide financial support to Production Executives, inclusive of bi-weekly cost reporting
● Participate in creating all production accounting policies and procedures and ensuring staff
compliance
● Manage any tax incentive operations, including but not limited to applications, audits,
qualified expense tracking
● Work with the VICELAND network programming finance team to ensure updated show costs
for amortization purposes, facilitate all breakage requests/approvals and monitor show pre-
fund requirements
● Provide guidance with accounting database systems and administration
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
● 7+ years experience as a production accounting supervisor or manager
● In depth understanding of television industry accounting and financial practice
● Demonstrated experience in handling a large volume of original productions
● Knowledge and experience with union/guild agreements
● Ability to work well under pressure, manage multiple projects simultaneously and
demonstrate strong analytical skills
● Must have the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel
● Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
