This role will partner with the Global Head Inclusion & Diversity and senior business leaders to help develop a strategy that supports BlackRock’s I&D ambitions while remaining aligned to the firm’s global talent strategy and agenda. The successful incumbent will assist in providing thought leadership across all areas of I&D, to include talent processes, policies and procedures and major initiatives and solutions.

Additionally, this person will own the operational aspects of BlackRock’s I&D agenda. As a deputy to the Global Head of I&D, this person will be responsible for identifying, owning and leading specific elements of the strategy, and thus will need to have a strong background in implementing and managing practices, policies and procedures related to a global, corporate I&D strategy.

Responsibilities:
The Inclusion & Diversity Director, in coordination with the Global Head of I&D, will focus on the planning, design, development and implementation of solutions to nurture the culture of inclusion and diversity we are cultivating at BlackRock.
Provide programs, support and metrics to ensure a motivated and engaged workforce. Immediate priorities for this role will include but are not limited to culture/engagement survey design and implementation, social integration program design, culture survey action planning framework.
Collaborate with senior leaders to integrate inclusion & diversity practices into institutional employment and workplace practices including business practices and global, firm-wide programs
Help to establish inclusion and diversity excellence as core values throughout all aspects of the BlackRock’s operations, business practices and in support of our commitment to the agenda.
Enable strategic partnerships with key stakeholders to gain support of initiatives that connect inclusion & diversity efforts to BlackRock’s business objectives
Provide inclusion & diversity subject matter expertise, advice, and strategic guidance to HRBP’s and Talent Partners.
Determine creative ways to integrate the inclusion & diversity strategy into business processes such as recruitment, performance management, leadership development, employee engagement and retention
Drive and strengthen existing and new external relationships to increase brand awareness in the market place and attract diverse talent to the organization
Partner with and support HRBP’s to drive programs that integrate diversity into compensation practices, performance review process and various management issues.

Requirements:
Undergraduate degree required; graduate degree in HR or Business a plus.
10+ years HR experience, preferably within a specialist strategy consulting capacity to HR & the business within the Inclusion & Diversity and Organization Effectiveness spaces.
Strong, proven operational and project management skills
Event management experience
Strong business gravitas; ability to influence key stakeholders and drive business objectives across a highly matrixed organization.
High level of attention to detail
