Director Ecommerce: Growth Leader IBM New York

The Executive Director—Ecommerce Growth Leader is responsible for driving new revenue growth for the “Total Commerce” offering, leveraging the best of Resource/Ammirati and IBM’s ecommerce capabilities. This leader will prospect, qualify and close new ecommerce business, with the goal of achieving incremental revenue for the agency. You’ll partner with Senior Leadership to set short- and long-term business development strategies, elevate awareness in the marketplace and contribute to shaping the evolution of the Total Commerce offering. This position reports to the VP of Omni Commerce and works in collaboration with both new business and marketing to achieve desired outcomes.

Primary Responsibilities:

Leads growth efforts for Total Commerce offering:
Focus includes new client business and larger organic/existing client opportunities requiring formal bids
Works in collaboration with growth/business development team to set the vision, engages appropriate team members and drives approach for new business pitches, from RFP through client presentations
Proactively leads the identification of, research and overall management of the potential client prospect list and sales forecasting for Total Commerce
Identifies, develops and builds relationships with key client decision makers and industry influencers to create new business opportunities
Collaborates with marketing team in the development of marketing materials, including credentials/capabilities, case studies and collateral material
Contributes to thought leadership related to Total Commerce
Builds Total Commerce awareness by speaking at key conferences
Acts as an internal consultant within R/A and IBM on the Total Commerce offering
Target Year 1 revenue goal of $6 million dollars in direct revenue

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
8 years of proven ecommerce business development and activation experience across multiple verticals
In-depth knowledge of user experience strategy (non-advertising), design, technology and analytics in selling direct-to-consumer or wholesale within packaged goods, retail or branded manufacturing
Client-side experience a plus
Amazon sales experience a plus
Strong presentation and communication skills
Start-up capabilities and mind-set
Proven experience working collaboratively across virtual and cross-functional teams in a matrixed organization
High level of integrity and professional working standards

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience
10 years of proven ecommerce business development and activation experience across multiple verticals
