Sr Director Total Rewards JLL Chicago

Reporting to the Americas Chief Human Resources Officer (Chicago HQ based), the Sr. Director of Total Rewards is responsible for all aspects of design of total rewards programs; including the implementation, communication and administration of compensation and benefits that will enable JLL to attract and engage the best talent in the U.S., Canada and Latin America marketplaces. Leads the development and coaching of five direct reports.

RESPONSIBILITIES
TOTAL REWARDS
Develop a total rewards strategy by researching best practices and trends and perform analysis on effectiveness, competitiveness, and perceived value of existing compensation and benefits programs. Present findings and creative solutions to key stakeholders.
Develop and implement effective processes to create clarity and a positive employee experience.
Providing leadership for implementing policies, processes, practices and tools.
Oversees the collaboration and development of benefits and compensation programs; effectively balances between control of costs and attracting and retaining key talent.
Ensuring collaboration between the compensation and benefits teams with other COEs, HRBPs and other organizations in planning, design and delivery of new programs or program changes.
Partner with the CHRO and communications team to develop, execute, and communicate key benefits and compensation programs.

COMPENSATION
Supports the development of a total rewards program strategy as it relates to the compensation programs.
Direct the design, implementation and communication of all management and executive compensation plans/policies for all compensation programs.
Provide leadership and direction while ensuring the deployment of compensation programs (including annual salary planning/merit increases process, salary structures, variable pay and other incentive programs) align with company’s goals, initiatives and budget guidelines.
Ensure the programs are market competitive and aligned with our culture and business goals and consistently administered and in compliance with company policies and government regulations.
Lead and facilitate the internal job evaluation/ career mapping process.
Work closely with Executives, Business Leadership and HR to manage, consult and resolve compensation issues.
Liaise with Global HR to conduct executive compensation reviews, both merit increases and bonus awards.
Review, edit and enhance compensation programs including planning, forecasting and modeling on a regular basis.
Assist in any M&A activities as requested.

Supports the development of a total rewards program strategy as it relates to Medical Benefits, Retirement Benefits (excludes DB pension plan and post-retirement health benefits), Wellness, and Leave & Absence Management.
Design, maintain and update as needed a benefits strategy that is fully aligned with the objectives of the company’s business plan, is fiscally responsible, market competitive, and supports the attraction and retention of high performing talent.
Oversee the implementation of a benefits strategy and supporting programs in countries other than the U.S. to ensure alignment with JLL’s total rewards strategy and local effectiveness in attracting desired talent in a fiscally responsible manner.

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelors in Business, HR discipline or equivalent experience; Master’s degree preferred.
Awareness of unique needs of real estate/professional services firm
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Canada and Latin America regulatory requirements
Ability to convert massive data into meaningful information and direction
Proven strong leadership skills and the ability to influence across all levels and functions of an organization
Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, including the ability to tailor materials to match the level of the audience.
