The Director Platform Program Manager is fully responsible for project execution for projects across all new product development phases for the specific Point of Care products at Siemens Healthineers. This covers the phases from inception of the project concept until the global commercial release of the product. The role includes the coordination of several interdependent development projects with the goal to create the long term product platform for the business. The position is responsible to achieve milestone commitments by analyzing and assessing project challenges and planning project risk / issues related measures.

As a Platform Program Leader, responsibilities include:
•Driving a multi-disciplined program team to deliver a complex multi-functional product platform according to specified features, quality, budget and timing constraints
•Lead the project through all product lifecycle phases. This includes the project setup and planning, driving and controlling the execution
•Coordinate interdependencies between several development projects
•Managing project complexity including contributions from potential external partners
•Driving project decision making, i.e. trade-offs between market needs and business needs
•Interfacing with functional managers for resource management and performance evaluations
•Managing project communications to all stakeholders and appropriate escalations to management
•Driving implementation of downstream activities (e.g. supply chain management, regulatory approvals) to ensure the rollout of the product
•Ensuring compliance, e.g. process adherence and completeness / correctness
Skills and Attributes:
•Extensive knowledge of project management competencies such as planning, scheduling, scope definition, resource management, progress tracking, etc.
•Excellent communicator, experienced in anticipating risk and working on counter-measures, excellent mediation skills, critical thinking, capable of working under changing conditions, strong analysis skills, high energy and strong in assertiveness
•Demonstrated ability to coordinate across disciplines and projects and to function independently in a high-impact position, with deadline and resource constraints
Required Experience, Knowledge and Expertise:
•Demonstrated expertise leading international and distributed large scale platform and systems development projects utilizing project management and product design & development frameworks
•+10 years of successful experience in related field
•Advanced degree (MS, PhD , MBA) and advanced project management certification is desirable
•Knowledge of FDA, ISO and IVDD regulations and work experience with FDA regulated Class II / III medical devices
•General scientific and engineering know-how and knowledge of the hospital point of care settings to understand the principles of a diagnostics product is a plus
•Experience working with intercultural teams
•Ability to travel within US and outside of the country
