HCP Marketing Director XELJANZ Pfizer New York

The HCP Marketing Director, XELJANZ will be responsible for developing and executing the short and long-term medical education strategies for XELJANZ in Gastroenterology, playing a critical role in positioning Pfizer as a leader in Gastroenterology and executing a flawless UC launch of XELJANZ. This colleague will lead the medical education, congress, market shaping, KOL, and association plans for the XELJANZ Gastroenterology franchise. This colleague will also be responsible for the appropriate integration of commercial and medical customer engagement plans for UC, as well as collaborating with Global I&I commercial development.
Responsibilities
1. Develop and execute short and long term medical education strategies and tactics for the launch of XELJANZ in UC.
2. In collaboration with global commercial development, develop and implement long and short term strategy for market shaping and unbranded content and education for HCPs and patients.
3. Develop and implement a short and long-term strategy for national, regional, and local congresses, opinion leaders, and associations.
4. Ensure opinion leader (OL) coordination across customer facing, brand facing, medical affairs, and clinical colleagues in the US and partnership with global commercial development colleagues
5. Develop strong relationships with KOLs and integration of the appropriate scientific support and advice in the development and implementation of medical education initiatives.
6. Maintain opinion leader database through socio-metric analysis and profiling for Inflammatory Bowel Disease to identify subject matter experts that can help address and educate Gastroenterologists on key scientific issues for the diagnosis and treatment of Ulcerative Colitis (UC) and XELJANZ.
7. Lead regional advisory boards and KOL development in collaboration with medical and global commercial development to ensure Gastro leaders’ insights are incorporated into XELJANZ strategies and tactics.
8. Provide opinion leader support for issues management, public relations, and communication

Qualifications
• 8 – 10 years of pharmaceutical experience preferred.
• 4-5 years marketing experience required
• 3-4 years sales and/or sales management experience preferred
• Launch experience preferred
• Extensive experience in leading and managing cross-functional teams and professional agencies required
• BA required, MBA preferred
