Director - IT - Infrastructure Portfolio Delivery - Vantiv - Mason


Job description
GENERAL FUNCTION:
Responsible for leading a team of project managers in elevating the capabilities of project management in support of consistent and superior execution for the IT Infrastructure and Line-of-Business efforts. Oversee project/program delivery to go beyond the traditional “on time, on budget, on scope” to deliver true value of services, all while ensuring the effective management of issues and risks.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• You will have the opportunity to lead a team of project managers, elevating the capabilities of project management in support of consistent, superior execution
• Develop a trusted advisor relationship with the Infrastructure Teams and other key “business of IT” leaders and drive to joint accountability for program success
• Develop and manage complex relationships subject matter experts to ensure the business solutions are highly aligned with IT goals and priorities
• This role must work cohesively with team members and the impacted enterprise teams (ex. Risk, Info Security, Architecture, and others) to achieve a common goal of establishing efficient and effective methodologies.
• Ensure coordinated plans are in place to deliver a comprehensive plan that meets stakeholder’s business priorities within budgetary and product requirements.

• Ensure that project management standards are implemented and adhered to, proactive metrics are developed and reported as well as special projects are managed, delivered on time, within budget and with agreed upon scope. Interface with business customers and other IT areas to ensure optimal communication and successful project implementations.
• Manage consistency in project financial reporting with the Finance department as a stakeholder
• Provide detailed reporting & metrics on existing project pipeline, resource allocation, project status completion statistics, variances to budget & forecasting of future needs
• Tasked with understanding and representing stakeholder needs, leading and coordinating the collection and verification of requirements, documenting and organizing the requirements for a system, and communicating requirements to an entire team.
• Must be able to “speak” both the business and IT languages.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for managing a team of high skilled employees including performance appraisals, career development and development of clear goals

Desired Skills and Experience
The following role credentials are provided as examples of the type of knowledge and skills necessary to successfully perform in the role of IT Portfolio Delivery Manager. These credentials are not intended to be an exhaustive list, and lacking one or more of the listed credentials would not necessarily eliminate prospective candidates for consideration for the job.
• PMP, or equivalent through experience
• Experience in multiple SDLC and QA methodologies
• Minimum of 8+ years experience (with five years management, project management, or leadership experience) in a corporate environment, in the card processing industry a plus
• Experience with process improvement and industry standards organizations (ex. CMMI, ISO, etc…) a plus
• B.S. in Computer Science, Operations Management, or relevant academic field
• Must demonstrate a high degree of energy and the ability to execute
• Must demonstrate the ability to take direction and work independently
• Must demonstrate superior written and oral communication skills
• High dedication to quality deliverables & unyielding integrity
