The Director, Cloud Service Planning will help drive the latest cloud-based services and applications for Huawei’s smartphone, wearable and smart home. This position will support Huawei’s Cloud Product team with strategy, project proposals, and partnerships in North America and worldwide. Duties include research of mobile ecosystem, indentifying technology trends, and differentiating Huawei’s mobile applications and services.

• Research and analyze the mobile ecosystem and its main players and provide insightful technology trend analysis and input for potential investment decisions.
• Understand competitive cost models, industry norms, business implications and influence on consumer behavior.
• Design competitive Internet applications and services. Foster innovative ideas and create prototypes to demonstrate their full potential.
• Define and manage Cloud software requirements and roadmap
• Communicate with technology partners on latest Cloud technologies and features. Foster collaboration and integrate them into overall ecosystem.
• Work closely with Product Manager and Engineering teams to deliver differentiated products
• Establish strong working relationship with account managers, users, and developer community.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS (Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
Education:
Minimum: Bachelor's Degree
Preferred: Master's Degree
Major/Discipline: Computer Science, Business or Related Fields
Relevant Work Experience
Minimum: 8 years of software product planning or management
Preferred: 12 years of software product planning or management
Skills & Abilities: (Technical or General)
Minimum Requirements:
• Deep understanding of the mobile ecosystem and the principal/process of developing Internet services.
• Experienced in one or more Internet service fields such as Game, Payment, Music, Social, etc.
• Ability to present to customers and adapt to formal / informal settings.
• Proven success in working within a globalized organization.
Preferred:
• Major Internet company product planning experience.
• Experience in mobile products, such as app store, games, LBS service.
• Program management experience in the mobile industry.
• Diverse knowledge of mobile device platforms, such as Android, iOS, Windows Phone.
