The Director for IoT (Building/Home/City) understands the entire value chain for Smart Building/City applications (HW and SW, Building/Home/City systems, infrastructure systems technology, security, lighting, power, heating, etc..) as well as end user needs and trends. The candidate will architect customer solutions for Smart Building and/or Smart City and/or Smart Home by leveraging ARTIK as the main building block to deliver with our OEM customers and ecosystem partners most competitive IoT solutions. This role works directly with development partners both on the hardware- and software in delivering solutions for our global OEM customers. Besides designing in HW solutions, a key focus for Samsung is also to develop a SW and services business around IoT that helps the market to monetize beyond hardware. The candidate will test these models lead customers on a global scale and will work with early adopters, key customers and channel partners. This role will drive high value solution sales solutions into revenue generation opportunities within targeted verticals.

Develop for defined Smart Building/Home/City verticals to end customer solutions leveraging the ARTIK module product family
Leveraging and developing Ecosystem partners in areas such as sensors, network, analytics and the app developer community
Build strong alignment with engineering and marketing team at end-customers and partners
Leverage all Samsung internal resources such as Product Management, and ARTIK R&D teams in order to develop a differentiated solution offering to help our customers to stay ahead in the market
Develop the commercialization strategy of all elements of the ARTIK platform:
HW/SW (modules)
Connecting City systems (lighting, heating, cooling, power, etc...)
Revenue from analytics
Shared revenue from ecosystem partners

Technical Background
Min. 10 years of work and leadership experience with a global technology company
Deep domain insight in smart Building, or Smart Home, or Smart City solutions from an IoT perspective
Demonstrated ability develop a compelling solutions strategy for ARTIK
Ability to communicate the value to customers and to Samsung as well as to Ecosystem partners
Track record of developing customers and building momentum
Ability to work with leading OEMs around the world to ensure that Samsung’s success in one or more of these IoT verticals
