The Organic Search Director will provide team leadership and a passion for the discipline of organic search with a desire for operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have hands on experience in organic strategies, processes, analytics, a clear history of exceeding client goals and campaign KPIs. This individual will lead a small team of organic Search Managers and Specialists in the daily execution of search engine optimization (SEO) campaigns, as well as contributing to new product offerings.

General Responsibilities

Account / Category Management
Develop a strong understanding of the client’s products, competition, industry, marketing goals and objectives Provide guidance through strategic and tactical input to team members for successful execution of SEO campaigns Research performance and analytics data, and develop key insights for quarterly and annual business reviews Provide analysis, QA and insights for monthly reports Work closely with Account Directors for campaign alignment with client goals Work closely with Project Manager in developing campaign project plan and scope definition
Team Management
Manage team in achieving all performance KPIs, including optimization and troubleshooting recommendations Coordinate strategies with internal teams (ADs, S&A, Paid) across multiple brands and business lines Review campaign hours to ensure that deliverable timelines are within the expected ranges Provide support and recognition for your team and effectively foster teamwork that drives motivation and retention Participate in the training, individual development, on-boarding and mentoring of staff Track team paid time off, and approve timesheets
Organic Search Practice Innovation
Participate in team innovation meetings with creative input & task ownership Contribute to the development of new product offerings and practice innovations Contribute to corporate initiatives, automation projects, process changes, and roll-outs Develop tools to improve efficiencies and advance the practice Stay current with industry trends, best practices and discuss potential impacts with team on client work Periodically aid in creating new business presentations Create POVs, best practices and assist in developing key process documentation

Skills/Experience Required
• 5+ years of experience in organic search engine marketing, agency experience preferred
• Ability to think strategically and drive solid results to grow the business
• Proven team leadership and management experience
• Strong data analytics and strategy background
• Ability to interact with people at all levels of an organization, fostering strong cross-functional teamwork
• Excellent interpersonal skills, and an eagerness to work as member of a team
• Exceptional oral, written, presentation, and communication skills
• Proficient in HTML, HTTP and with Google Analytics, Insights and Webmaster tools
• High-level proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
• 4 year college degree or equivalent work experience required
