The Firefox product is a large code base that ships to hundreds of millions of users across the world. We are looking for someone to help us drive engineering of this product: improve quality, modernize the code base, develop new features, and refine and introduce development processes.

You will report to the Head of Product Engineering in the Firefox team. You will work with the Firefox leadership including other heads of engineering, product management, UX, and program management to develop the product strategy for the Firefox browser as well as related products and services. You’ll be collaborating closely with the Gecko engineering team that provides the platform on which Firefox is built.

You will bring energy, passion, commitment and high quality to this innovative environment. You will need strong leadership capabilities, experience working with leaders and departments, and strong technical acumen.

Responsibilities:
·Lead the development of the Firefox application.
·Contribute to the vision and strategy of Mozilla's product development organization.
·Build culture and processes dedicated to a high-quality product.
·Lead and grow engineering managers on the team.
·Work with teams within Mozilla to coordinate product deliverables.

Requirements:
-10+ years experience developing consumer-facing products.
-Proven Shown success building and collaborating with teams.
-Track record of building top-notch engineering teams.
-Passionate, organized, smart, engaging, driven.
-Comfort or experience working in a globally, distributed team. Skill with online communication (irc, wikis, etherpad, bugs, etc.), time zones, asynchronous communication.
-Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
-A hands-on, creative thinker.
