Job Description:
Cisco seeks a proven leader to fill a critical senior leadership position in its U.S. Commercial sales organization. The Central Territory Operations Director is responsible for developing and executing growth strategies to increase Cisco’s Commercial product and services market share throughout the Central United States (13 States). S/he will have sales revenue responsibilities and will be accountable for the success of the organization which includes approximately 85 sales and engineering resources. The direct team includes 7 Regional Managers who’s efforts are augmented by our Systems Engineering teams, Product Sales Specialist as well as our vSales organizations. The position will report directly to the Central Area Vice President.
This $660M operation has delivered double digit growth to Cisco for the past nine out of ten years and continues to be on pace to deliver strong revenue growth for the company. The candidate will be expected to drive opportunities to capture new market share, market transitions, new consumption models, optimize coverage and routes-to-market aligned to Partner-Led models, accelerate the adoption of Service and Architecture solutions across the segment, and expand opportunities that capture new consumption and buying patterns.
The ideal candidate will have experience in managing large, cross matrixed teams, grasp of strategic business challenges, and demonstrate a high level of comfort working with partners, customers, internal teams and executive leadership. Executive presence, strong communication skills and an the ability to adapt to a constantly evolving marketplace, including software, services and evolving consumption models are critical skills for this opportunity.

• Lead 85+ team members and leaders in a highly dynamic, cross matrixed organization
• Strong leadership skills in coaching and developing a sales organization.
• Develop channel strategy and direction for the Operation that ensures maximum market coverage, revenue and profit.
• Develop and implement policies, process, programs, systems and service support to drive mutual success.
• Enable customer/partner intimacy, business intelligence, effectiveness and efficiency, and value Cisco channel engagement model for the Operation to drive for mutual profitability.
• Build and develop leadership team and build collaboration and partnership within and outside of the group

Knowledge and Experience:
- University degree and 15+ years of related experience in the networking industry.
- Experience in the channels and distribution operations and commercial market and how to create marketing pull-through are desired strengths.
- Experience in management of all aspects of sales processes, organizational structures, management practices, staff development.
- Experience in business planning, developing sales and marketing programs and execution of programs and strategy would be a major plus.
- Proven people management and leadership skills.
- Excellent communications skills (both written and verbal) and the ability/affinity for communicating with customers/senior internal management in both formal and informal situations.
- A high degree of creative ability, analytical and business skills and independent judgment
