The Sales Desk Headquarter Director is responsible for driving strategic breakthrough improvements of current and emerging Sales Desk business models, while managing the operational activities required to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the Sales Desk organization. This role is also responsible for maintaining and improving the impact of Sales Desk Assets and the quality of the customer experience by designing and delivering tools and training.
Success in this role relies on the ability to build strong, collaborative relationships internally and with senior sales leaders. Exemplary communication skills coupled with tenacity and the determination to achieve the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction are also key to successful execution. Major Responsibilities Set the vision and overall strategy of the Sales Desk HQ organization that includes: Asset Excellence, Business Development, Program Excellence, and IT/BI Lead a large scale organization of Sales Desk Managers and Sales Desk Project Managers focused on building and creating services that enable account teams to maximize their business results Build programs supporting Microsoft Key priorities in alignment with field objectives Build and maintain Sales Desk internal tools and infrastructure to support daily operations while driving quality and consistency Drive worldwide efforts for the Sales Desk in business development and innovate with new services implementation Drive consistency and operational excellence in how we execute and measure results Continually drive standardization and simplification across Sales Desk’s business operating models and processes Recruit, build, and develop a high performing team to support the field in various Sales Excellence initiatives Raise awareness and education of Sales Desk services by engaging with key stakeholders both at WW/Corp and subsidiaries level Drive high stakeholders and field seller satisfaction with a goal of accelerating revenue, growing share, and improving sales productivity Measurements of Success Adoption and usage metrics of EPG Sales Desk Services / Assets in alignment with Microsoft key priorities and ambitions Impact on SMSG Scorecard items such as: Revenue, CPE, Usage, Consumption, & Share Time saved for field sellers Field Satisfaction response rates and levels Develop a high performing team 20% Travel required Key Interfaces/Relationships Experience in working closely with Senior Management (Sr. Director level and above) to leverage leadership direction and guidance Build relationships with local Senior LT (Area LT, Area EPG Leads) to enable adoption and success of Sales Desk initiatives Uncover insights to enable innovation and agility to the business and drive consistent experience and outcomes to the local sales teams Leadership/People Management: Develop talent and build career progression for the worldwide Sales Desk team Responsible for WHI task force Passion for managing a large team (local and international) through management of managers Competencies Required: Knowledge/Experiences/Skills Good understanding of sales/pre-sales processes Proven ability to influence, lead, and motivate a large team Excellent communications skills Business/IT consulting experience Ability to grasp holistic view and manage/drive multiple streams Ability to think strategically Ability to work comfortably in ambiguity Strong quantitative and analytical skills Cross team collaboration in a large organization Strong attention to detail
