Data Science Manager Adobe Digital Index San Francisco

This role will involve working with large data sets to identify industry and consumer trends as part of the Adobe Digital Index team. This team leverages data produced by Adobe's creative, document and marketing clouds to inform our customers of their relative performance and the market as a whole of key trends. A passion and ability to dig into data, filter through noise, and synthesize key insights will help this person influence how digital marketers and other interested parties interpret changes in user behavior.

What you’ll do
We’re looking for someone who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and can adapt to shifting conditions and priorities, is meticulous and detail-oriented, and is a self-starter. This person will apply statistical and machine driven techniques to uncover interesting digital trends that are relevant to the typical consumer, business and industry press, and digital marketers. This person will be responsible for mining the Adobe Digital Index data set and appending available data where possible to find insights that are deserving of wide publication.
What you need to succeed
Advanced degree or equivalent experience in econometrics, computer science, information systems, statistics or other quantitative field.
Experience with one or more programming languages (Python preferred)
Ability to query proficiently in SQL
Passion for data analysis and knowledge of experimental design and statistical inference
Demonstrated leadership and self-direction.
Demonstrated ability to research and learn new technologies and methodologies, and discuss them within the team.
Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and a strong team player.
Preferred Qualifications (ranked):
Experience with big data techniques and tools (Hadoop, MapReduce, Hive, Pig, Spark)
Proficient in one or more machine learning or statistical modeling tools (R, Matlab, and scikit learn)
Familiarity with Adobe Analytics (Reporting API) and other Adobe Marketing Cloud products
Knowledge of non-relational databases (Mongo)
Practice with data visualization software and techniques (D3.js)
