Contract Manufacturing Manager Google Fiber Mountain View

Contract Manufacturing/Commodity/ Vendor Managers work with Engineering teams to make sure Google has the supplies and equipment to put into production the innovative products coming from our Engineering teams. As a Commodity Manager, you use your wide industry knowledge and strategic supplier relationships to optimize our total cost of ownership for our scaling Google Fiber and Access teams. The scale at which Google operates means that savings on just one piece of hardware can have a huge impact on Google's bottom line. You will also coordinate supplier Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) to provide essential supplier performance indicators and score card.

Responsibilities
Develop and execute CM and Commodity Strategies. Lead cross-functional teams through supplier selection.
Conduct high level negotiations and comprehensive agreements (MPA, CPSA, Exclusivity, Patents) with supplier executives.
Maintain high level of industry expertise and supplier/market conditions. Implement “best in class” supply chain improvements.
Work closely with BU owners to ensure product schedules, transitions and NPI.
Act as Point of Contact for QBR collection, collation and deliver to valued supply partners. Own all the critical performance metrics of the vendor base.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications:
BA/BS degree in Supply Chain Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
5 years of experience in Technology/Telecom industry including procurement and Supply Chain Management experience
Experience leading/managing offshore CMs, ODMs, and OEMs

Preferred qualifications:
MS degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering or MBA. 10 years of relevant work experience
Direct experience in working with FTTX/MDU/SMB supply bases
Supply Chain management leader with experience managing vendors at scale (Global Contract Manufacturer, Original Design Manufacturers and or Original Equipment Manufacturers)
Ability to lead cross-functional problem solving teams using structured approaches
Strong knowledge of manufacturing and supply chain processes
Clear communication skills, both verbal and written
