Apple Retail is looking for an experienced Direct Marketing Leader to join it's Marketing team. This position will be responsible for developing strategies and programs that support the Apple brand, create great digital communications experiences for Apple customers and drive customer engagement, cross-platform, worldwide. In addition to leading Direct Marketing, this individual will also lead analytics for the Retail Marketing function.
Specifically, this person will partner with the various analytics teams within the Retail business to develop reporting and dashboards that inform insights and storytelling. Additional responsibilities for this role include driving and implementing strategy for value-added programs, such as Pickup, Personal Setup, Financing, and delivery services. The Manager will be a key team member managing important internal relationships with teams across Retail Marketing, as well as product managers, digital merchandising, Customer Experience, Online and Stores Analytics and Marketing Communications teams, to deliver quality,engaging outbound communication experiences for our customers. This role will direct report to the Senior Director of Global Retail Marketing Campaigns and have two direct reports. The ideal candidate will have deep experience working with world class brands and omni-channel marketing. An ability to develop ideas that rise above the typical and a mind for creative problem solving is required.

Skills and Attributes:
Proven experience developing and delivering large scale direct marketing programs.
Strong understanding of direct and interactive marketing with a passion for data-driven program development.
Self starter with excellent organizational skills with proven track record in project management and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Strong analytical skills with proven marketing analytics experience.

Experience:
8+ years of digital marketing experience with a world class brand
E-commerce, direct marketing and/or email marketing experience required
Proven track record of initiating and driving new program development
Experience with audience segmentation, test design and program evaluation experience
Success in communicating business and marketing objectives to creative teams
Exceptional people skills and ability to work well with team members and in cross functional situations
Proven record of evaluating marketing campaigns and programs from multiple data sources, and drawing clear conclusions and actionable recommendations
Experience working in a global / multi-national organization a plus.
International work experience and language skills a plus.
BA or equivalent work experience. MBA preferred.
Description

The successful candidate will work with Marcom teams (Planning, Creative, Production, Analytics and Systems) and Apple Retail Marketing and Analytics teams to successfully develop and execute programs that help customers make confident purchase decisions and help them be successful with Apple products. In addition, this person will be tasked with taking CRM programs to the “next level” for example with Mobile and Social strategies to engage customers in new and innovative ways appropriate to the Apple brand. Although senior, at least initially you will also need to be hands on with data interpretation, identifying and communicating trends within the data for broader Retail campaigns and Programs. Work closely with the Analytics and Corporate Database teams to analyze customer behavior; develop customer segmentation strategies; and identify key insights that will inform program enhancements and recommendations. Define and drive the development of next generation CRM strategies including Social and Mobile push channels, always with the customer experience at the forefront Partner with Marcom to redefine customer life-cycle communications and work with key stakeholders to drive new strategies to increase the impact of owner communications both in terms of improved customer experience and increased customer loyalty. Work closely with the Retail marketing and cross-functional Retail teams on integrated campaigns and programs. Oversee day-to-day implementation, execution and maintenance of CRM programs. Use a test and learn approach to optimize program effectiveness and quantify results. Partner with Customer Experience, Product Management and Marcom teams to optimize Retail customer transactional communications ensuring every outbound touch point is an enhancement to the customer’s Apple experience. Work with the corporate analytics team, IS&T to identify new reporting requirements to support evolving business needs. Develop reporting and dashboards that inform insights and storytelling to: Understand the impact of Retail Marketing’s work on our customers and the business Enable Retail Marketing and Marcom to improve and refine on campaign/ program ideas and execution Help make more informed decisions about where to prioritize resources Be proactive in recognizing where the business may need marketing support and the effective levers to pull Distribute and institutionalize learnings across the organization and relevant cross functional partners
