• Responsible for directing one or more of the following functions, generally through subordinate managers: Systems Asset and Configuration Management (CMDB), Knowledge, Onboarding, Continual Service Improvement, Data Engineering & Analytics.
• Ensure the efficient operation of functions.
• Responsible for hiring, terminating, and conducting performance appraisals for assigned staff.
• Responsible for the output and driving the vision and priorities of the group.
• Define execution plan and schedule commitments for group, and often provide input on the strategic direction of division.
• Recommend changes to policies that affect immediate organization.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent demonstrated IT work experience
• 7+ years experience in an IT services leadership role with significant interaction at the senior executive level.
• Excellent leadership skills and proven ability to lead a progressive IT services team.
• Proven ability to successfully lead large-scale process improvement initiatives.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and motivate professional staff.
• Deep understanding of Expedia’s business strategy.
• Goals are generally communicated in solution or function goal terms.
• Erroneous decisions will have an impact on the overall business success of function, division, or business operations.
• Scope of influence is across business groups.
• Typically works on problems and/or issues where the solution has a time horizon of around 1-2 years.
