Serves as the primary content creator for media outlets to deliver a sustained narrative that cuts through the general media "clutter" and helps generate a favorable, progressive reputation for Virgin Mobile
Builds and manages strong, effective relationships with key media including print, broadcast and online reporters, bloggers and others
Serves as spokesperson for Virgin Mobile USA to the media

Delivers strong crisis management expertise and be able to operate effectively in dynamic situations affecting business operations
Manages CEO communications to develop consistency of company message across all internal and external channels
Partners with all senior management to help generate awareness of the Virgin Mobile USA culture and mission to help attract top talent
Monitors, develops and implements new communications channels and technologies, leveraging innovative digital platforms
Primary responsibility is to develop and execute against a sound public media strategy that drives positive awareness for Virgin Mobile
Accountable for managing all media interactions
Responsible for translating and delivering the brand message and value proposition through earned media channels
Works daily with Virgin Mobile leadership team as well as the general marketing team
Liaisons back with Sprint Corporate Communications team to:
Ensure they are aware of all Virgin Mobile strategy and tactics
Leverage best practices and all available Sprint resources
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and ten years related work experience in public relations, media relations, communications, and/or consulting
Ten years of communications experience across a variety of consultancies, corporations or NGOs.
Experience serving as a strategic advisor to the C-suite and/or other senior business leaders.
Specific job roles that required candidate to develop and effectively manage strong working relationships with senior executives
Demonstrated effectiveness in driving successful media campaigns with major US media outlets
