Director Learning Leadership Management AIG New York

As Director of Learning - Leadership and Management, you will join our Talent Management COE reporting directly to the Chief Learning Officer (CLO). You will be responsible for the design and implementation of tiered blended learning solutions for all AIG leaders and managers. This role leads through influence and partnership with L&D, COEs within Talent Management and HR, HR Business Partners, and Business Leaders to build and strengthen leadership and management capabilities across AIG. Major accountabilities include developing and managing strategic initiatives to support the organization's leaders and managers to ensure achievement of AIG’s key business goals and objectives, strengthen employee engagement, build a deep pipeline of leaders, and manage retention.
Specific responsibilities will include:

Redesign existing leadership/management programs into a new experience and format for employees that is aligned to AIG's culture and strategy.
Lead a team of learning advisors and program managers.
Provide thought leadership and a strategic road map for leadership and management content, approach, philosophy, structure, etc.
Engage in vendor management, budget management and internal communication for all leadership and management offerings, etc.
Architect and advise on all leadership/management performance needs by business and across AIG
Communicate leadership/management vision/strategy across HR and the organization.
Validate and conduct needs assessment and define solution approach and evaluation approach to meet business objectives.
Assess impact and risk of various solutions in order to make recommendation to client (solution recommendation can include new, maintenance of existing, or existing courses or informal learning options).
Define preliminary program/course design and delivery strategy to meet business performance objectives efficiently and effectively.
Integrate third party content into the design of client courseware and programs as appropriate.
Be accountable for delivery of learning outcomes as mutually defined and agreed with client.
Oversee learning solution development, budget, and delivery and future maintenance of projects/programs.
Work with Learning Services team to create communications and metrics plans for learning program roll out, and evaluation.

Position Requirements:

10+ years thought leadership in the talent management & learning space, with emphasis on designing learning solutions for leadership & management.
Collaborative working skills, refusal to work with or support a silo mentality
Superior Customer/Client/Business Partner relationship management skills
Strategic Planning (Developing cost effective learning plans that reflect and support business goals and objectives, are timely and meet identified employee development needs and address performance analysis results)
Learning Analytics (Ability to analyze and monitor return on investment/expectations of training costs measured against performance improvement and impact on specific company objectives)
Business Insight (Understanding how the various segments/functions of AIG integrate and operate to serve customers and generate profitable returns)
Leadership and Communication skills
Program and Project Management skills (Including Forecasting and planning the financial, physical, human resources and time requirements necessary to meet the established goals, objectives, work activities, checkpoints, metrics of a project, and the ability to manage multiple projects at the same time)
Consultative Skills (Advise, intervene, influence, or bring professional or technical expertise to bear for a customer, internal partner or organization which you support)
Instructional Design (Ability to map learning objectives to performance objectives and design appropriate learning delivery modes)
A life-long learner with the ability and desire to maximize the development of his/her staff thus acting as role model for the learning organization that we are creating.
