Senior Director Integrated Care DCV Sanofi Genzyme Bridgewater

The US DCV IC team will develop and implement a new set of product/service(s) that can be marketed toward our three customer segments, payers, physicians and patients. In coordination with the diabetes and cardiovascular business units, brand teams, and market access, the US IC team will identify key capability gaps to needed to deliver breakthrough care for DCV patients. The team will be responsible for determining if these capabilities should be developed in-house, partnered or acquired. They will also be key contributors to the implementation of these new capabilities.
Our key internal customers are the Diabetes and Cardiovascular business units, their brand teams, and market access. Our key internal partners are medical affairs, evidence-based medicine, compliance/regulatory and business development.
US DCV Integrated Care Objectives
Partner with brand teams to enhance the value of therapeutics by going beyond the pill. These may be enhancements to the product delivery or new services to improve the effectiveness of our products.
1) Identify available technologies that can achieve brand team objectives (e.g., titration algorithms, dosing reminders, etc.)
2) Explore and identify new technologies that can enhance our current products
Develop innovative pricing and contracting models. Engaging in value-based and outcomes-based contracts will require capabilities that allow us a view into the behaviors of patients and patient populations (e.g., compliance/adherence, outcomes monitoring, data analytics, etc.)
1) Assist market access in developing contracting framework for payer customers
2) Prioritize and align value-based contracting concepts based on commercial potential
3) Identify capabilities to improve patient outcomes
4) Engage medical affairs and R&D to create evidence geared towards outcomes
Design and execute pilots with US payers, providers, and advocacy groups
1) Develop strategic rationale and goals for pilots
2) Implement pilots for innovative contracts at payers/providers/organized customer groups/advocacy groups
Support the Sanofi-Verily joint venture in its effort to transform diabetes care
1) Determine short-term, mid-term and long-term relationship of Sanofi US DCV with DMI
2) Assist the Global Integrated Care team to “stand up” the joint- venture
Position Overview/Key Responsibilities
1. Work with Global and Regional Project Teams to identify opportunities to transform the pharmaceutical business model
2. Analyze and review the US competitive landscape of diabetes management organizations
3. Partner with market access, patient engagement and corporate affairs to create and prioritize value-based contracts. Identify capabilities gaps to execute outcomes criteria
4. Design and execute pilots with US payers, providers, and advocacy groups
a. Engaged with payers, providers, and advocacy groups to refine framework for innovative contracts
b. Develop strategic rationale and goals for pilots
c. Implement pilots for innovative contracts at payers/providers/organized customer groups/advocacy groups
d. Coordinate Global Market Access , US Market Access, Patient Engagement and Corporate Affairs
e. Collaborate with Medical Affairs and Evidence Based Medicine to build outcomes-based criteria
5. Work with Global Sanofi Integrated Care Team and Verily to assess opportunities to transform diabetes care
6. Generate landscape of potential partnership opportunities
a. Network externally to build relationships with potential customer groups
b. Identify and scout for potential partners that can fill capability gaps for an outcomes based business model
7. Develop forecasts for new business models and prioritize
8. Deliver presentations to senior management on priority projects

Qualifications

• Strategy consulting experience from a leading firm with at least 5 year experience in Life Sciences with both R&D and Commercial exposure
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills / ability to work with senior members of the organization and appropriately challenge their assumptions
• Advanced degree in business or medicine/science plus 4-6 years of experience in management consulting, investment banking, or an in-house business development function preferred
• Ability to synthesize a significant amount of diverse information to build a compelling, data driven investment case
• Proficiency in expected developing forecasts, financial modeling, and understanding of economic value measures
• Demonstrated ability to lead multiple complex assignments requiring integration of multiple disciplines
• Fast learner and quick thinker
• Good business judgment
• Strong influencer and facilitator, able to build strong working relationships across a variety of levels, functions and geographies
• Mature, and able to interact confidently with very senior colleagues
