Director Physical Digital Sales HBO Seattle

Directs and develops account plans and Physical/Digital strategy in all selling activities for select North American Retailers (Microsoft, Amazon, Club). Assess status and assist in finalizing plans and programs in solicitation. Recommend strategies to grow the various segments of the retail business. Communicate with HBO/WB cross-functional teams regarding sales and marketing strategies. Drive annual planning process and long-term strategy.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Customer Relationship Management (25% of the time):

Maintain principal contact with WB (physical) and the direct digital retail buying teams

Maintain relationships with Accounts and work towards new relationships with horizontal departments such as Marketing, Operations, etc.

Review and amend sales presentations prior to meetings with Customers

Leads customer review meetings in development of the business (55% of the time):

Construct and execute plan to foster physical / digital integration across accounts to insulate HBO revenue

Align customer initiatives and programs to support and drive Account Ownership strategy

Ensure sales strategy aligns with and complements overall HBO objectives

Drive physical & digital activity, focusing on account ownership, while assessing / leveraging other platforms to help drive consumer awareness / engagement

Achieve annual Revenue sales goals through: construction of annual plan, alignment with cross- functional teams on key customer strategies and secure customer commitment on long- term objectives

Collaboration with international counterparts to ensure world-wide objectives are being met

Sales Admin (20% of the time):

Review and amend sales forecasts

Review title and program performance against assigned account sales goals and weigh against account sales forecasts in order to rationalize budgets. Convey any recognized difference to Sales VP

Ensure fiscally responsible decisions consistent with prescribed standards from HBO Senior Management are made

Optimize spend to ensure profitability metrics are being met; develop methodology to better understand ROI of meta- programs and individual promotions to meet metrics

REQUIREMENTS:

10 years sales experience dealing with national retail customers

E-Commerce & digital content sales experience is required

BA in Management / Marketing or equivalent work experience required

Proven track record in selling to large retail customers (i.e. e-commerce, mass merchants, grocery, drug, music or video)

Proven history of consistently exceeding goals

Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Keynote

Must have strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills

Must be detail oriented in a fast-paced environment

Must have the ability to work effectively under time constraints

Must have the ability to handle multiple tasks
