In this role, you will be responsible for managing WU's funded enterprise project portfolio. You will also be responsible for facilitating the annual company-wide project planning cycle, as well as ongoing executive and board level reporting on the health status of the projects in the enterprise portfolio, including scope, budget, schedule, and strategic outcomes.

Establish and enforce a clear enterprise project lifecycle process to ensure projects are appropriately sized and funded, ensure project management support for each initiative is performed with excellence, and to align the overall Western Union project process to finance processes, Technology Governance processes including the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), technology project & portfolio management, and technology resource capacity planning, with a focus on continuous improvement and maturing project management competencies across Western Union
Lead a team of enterprise project management professionals which will be deployed to directly manage many of the company's most strategic projects
Qualifications:
Demonstrated ability to make sound and timely decisions in the face of uncertainty or with limited information
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Ability to design effective reporting for multiple business purposes/audiences. Ability to communicate to business partners at various levels within the organization including executive management
10+ plus years of progressive business management experience - Cross-discipline project management experience or equivalent is required for at least 5 of those years
International business management experience strongly recommended
Bachelor's Degree required, Master’s Degree preferred. Project Management Certification preferred
Proven ability to successfully manage conflict towards resolution at all levels of the organization, without detrimental impact to relationships with functional and regional teams
Previous track record of building and managing teams
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong process mapping and redesign skills as well as experience in the creation and implementation of critical business policies
Solid financial analysis acumen including ability to manage budgets and investments, develop business case/business plans, and perform other related financial/cost analyses that are presented to Executive Management and project team members
Ability to negotiate effectively
Experience managing expectations with customers
Ability to motivate others to take action and influence the decisions of management and peers
Experience and/or equivalent training in project management tools and methodologies are required for this position (proven successes in managing complex cross-functional project teams)
Ability to effectively manage and harness the resources of many indirect resources across multiple functional areas
Ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization is a critical success factor for this position
